Because of a Sunday phone call from a colleague Dr. Esper fit me into his busy schedule and basically saved my life. Would I recommend him, yes, a lot more than 5 stars worth.

My experience with heart issues started as an emergency. Felt flutter in my chest, went to local hospital and within hours was on my way to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute IN. I was assigned to Dr. Esper. He was kind, explained things very clearly as he could see by my expression that I had no clue anything was wrong with my heart. I ended up having a triple bypass. He always asked if I had any questions, and listened to anything I said. I did not feel like a number. He saved my life!

Dr. Esper, while performing a procedure he said he had done over a thousand times, committed an error that cost my mom her life. Just remember, there is no such thing as a "routine" operation. I'm sure He is a good surgeon, but everyone needs to remember he is only a human being. I think after he made the error that changed my family's life, he could have been a little more caring.

We will definitely refer family, friends and others to Dr. Esper. He is a wonderful person and surgeon. He cares and takes the time to talk with you and doesn't treat you like you are just a number. He truly cares about not only his patients but there family members as well. Thank you Dr. Esper for what you have done for my mother in law and are continuing to do for her and us.
