I recently had the privilege of shadowing Dr. Schmitz. Not only is Dr. Schmitz (having trained at Mayo Clinic) incredibly knowledgeable and talented at what he does, but he truly cares deeply about each and every one of his patients. He takes the time to get to know them at a personal level, checks on them very frequently, and even personally calls them himself whenever they have results in. Nearly every patient that came in referred to Dr. Schmitz as family and noted how much they appreciated the extend to which he dedicated himself to them. Dr. Schmitz is truly one of a kind and I cannot say enough good things about him. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Schmitz to anyone in need of radiation treatment. He is very skilled at what he does and all of his patients are in exceptionally good hands.

Dr. Schmitz is the most caring Dr. That we have ever had. He explained everything so we could understand. We were NEVER rushed. An he treats us like family. We absolutely love him.

I go to a lot of doctors and Dr. Schmitz is my favorite by far. He is one of the kindest, most compassionate men I've ever met. I was diagnosed with Stage III+ Breast cancer in 2011, went through chemo & radiation at T. H. Regional Hospital and Dr. Schmitz and his wonderful caring staff were with me every step of the way. I know he will always have my back.

I sincerely hope that nobody ever needs their services, but I have to brag on Dr. Schmitz and his entire staff! It's time for my post treatment year check up and he personally called me when my blood results came back so I wouldn't worry until our face to face appointment. Throughout every step of treatment I always knew exactly what to expect. And I've never received better medical treatment anywhere in my life.

I have been seeing Dr. Schmitz since March of 2015. I count my blessings daily that it is he and his staff that have treated me. He called me yesterday to tell me about my recent mammogram. How many doctor's call their patients? He does. He is just an all around gentle man. On top of that he is a skilled and knowledgeable physician. You don't see that combination too often. He listens and will take as long as it takes to answer any and all questions you have. Michelle who always greets me with a smile, Melanie who assists with my visits and all the radiation staff who administered my treatment are upbeat, kind, and everything else that make for an excellent health professional. On top of all the above, they respect your time as a patient and I have never had to wait when I go to scheduled appointments.

A wonderful caring Doctor

I was so very lucky to have Dr. Schmitz treat my cancer. He and his staff and very personable, warm and caring. He listens. He answers any and all questions you have. I would not go to anyone else if my cancer ever returns.

My dad (who has small cell lung cancer) and I met with Dr. Schmitz yesterday, we probably spent 1 1/2 hours with him, he explained every part of dads treatment and recovery in great detail, also made sure we understood every part of the conversation!! He is a wonderful person, and a phenomenal physician!! I would recommend him to anyone!!! AMAZING!!!!!

Dr. Schmitz and his staff are SO CARING. I have never been in a doctor's office that had such a caring staff as well as doctor. Dr. Schmitz always spends a lot of time with me, answers all my questions, and he even gives a hug. This office is medicine at its best!
