Dr. Bukata is an amazing pediatrician.

I love Dr. Bukata. After my first son had surgery at 4 weeks he called me at home to make sure everyone was doing well. I took my son back in for a check up and I knew something wasn't right and he said "if mama says something is wrong, then something is wrong"....I know at times parents can be seen as crazy or overprotective, but just the simple fact of him validating what I was seeing and feeling eased my mind...he ended up being lactose intolerant.

I think Dr. Bukata is a fantastic doctor. My son had surgery at 4 weeks old for a stomach condition and Dr. Bukata was in constant contact with me and made sure I knew what was going on each step of the way. He even called me on my cell phone when we were discharged home to make sure everyone was doing okay. Also, I have taken my son in before when he seemed fine to people that did not know him I appreciated that Dr. Bukata said "okay, mom says he's not fine so let's check him out a little more". He takes into consideration that parents know when something more is wrong than just the basic. I really appreciate his bedside manner and his over all personality as a pediatrician.

When my daughter was first dx'ed with epilepsy as an infant, her neuroloigst told us that the signs that her seizure meds could out her at a toxic level, all of which she exhibited. When we took her to see Dr. Bukata, his response was that I have 'half a dozen other children' and likely it was just the flu bug she may have caught from one of them. I told him she really needed her med levels checked just to make sure that they weren't at a toxic level and he said his 'gut feeling' was that it wasn't that. He did agree after a while to check them, and surprise! They were very high and toxic. My child could easily have slipped into a coma! I lost alot of faith and respect in him that day. Sure, he's ok for a generally healthy child, but definatley very unknowlegable with those with more serious conditions.

Fantastic care at this office. They are able to answer most of my questions over the phone (I have lots of questions with 4 kids). When we do need to come in, we are always in and out very quickly and feeling like we were well cared for. Dr. Bukata caught a small birth defect in the hospital when my daughter was born that no one else had looked at. He did a great job explaining everything to us and put us at ease about the whole thing. This is a great practice - what a blessing that my kids are patients!

He is a very kind Pediatrician and genually likes kids. He has taken care of my daughter for a few years now. He listens to both of us and then decides what should be done.
