List of Susan L. Bishop Md's Reviews
Dr. Bishop was dismissive, rude, and had an elitist attitude. She made my husband and I and our 3 year old very uncomfortable and completely disregarded our concerns. This resulted in a lack of diagnoses for a very serious health issue that resulted in an ER trip and a 4 day stay at Lurie’s.
I really like this clinic and the staff. I just not fond of Dr. Bishop. The first time my son and went was for his wellness check up. She said right the bat he is tall for his age, but also fat for his age. She didn't even look at his charts yet. He was a new patient. We have gotten her a couple of times over the years and she is always short and seems annoyed with us. I have heard her in the other rooms with other patients and she is laughing and having a great conversation with the parents. As soon as she opens the door she gets this drawn look on her face as though she ate something nasty. I always request another doc or np if we get her.
Dr. Bishop was kind and encouraging to us as new parents and took her time to make sure all our concerns were addressed. She also gave us great advice about sleep and after following it our baby is sleeping through the night. Wouldn’t even think about giving her any less than five stars.
Very Rude should have never became a pediatrician!
Yikes... this doctor told me very dangerous, false information related to a potentially dangerous condition. When I presented her with facts regarding this being incorrect (politely), she stated “we are done here” and left the room.
I’ve been taking my daughter to Dr Bishop for 13 years. She’s always been thorough, patient and kind. She takes the time to explain what’s going on rather than just handing you meds and sending you on your way.
The doctors office then informed me they do not prescribe cough medicine. It is their policy. I was then informed that it was wrote on my daughters chart she had a upper respiratory infection. Why wasn't I told this at the time? My daughter is miserable and only worse 2 days later and they tell me that I can schedule her another appointment to be seen but it will cost me another co-pay and bill my insurance but they can't guarentee they can do anything to help her. Patients do not matter here.
Rudest, most insensitive annoyed, crotchety pediatrician ever! She denied prescribing preventitive meds for influenza B to a seven month old. After calling and reaching her as the on call Dr. She said it would be an hour to get to her computer. She called me back and said because we has used another ped she wasn't prescribing anything. It's a Saturday.....also she hung up on me. Please do not take your children to this woman. She is absolutely horrid and has so many bad reviews....I have no idea how she is still in practice ......horrid person....with a terrible personality. I'm disgusted.
So I called the "on call doctor" which so happened to be Bishop. She did call back right away, but she seemed annoyed when she called. I asked what temp is too high for an baby (6m old.. which I keep reading is 103) She answers "oh there is no such thing" NO SUCH THING AS A TOO HIGH OF A FEVER!?? I have never heard that. So luckily my daughters temp went down after I gave her Tylenol and stayed down after it wore off. I don't think a doctor should ever tell you this, she didn't even ask if she had other symptoms or any of her conditions or anything..
If I could give zero stars, I would. This person should not be practicing medicine with children, as she clearly doesn't care for them. Furthermore, if you are a parent who advocates for your child, prepare to be belittled and ignored. Don't question her treatment plan and don't dare challenge her. I wish I could give zero stars. We have been long term patients of this office, but this experience has forced us to look elsewhere. The staff is amazing she's just terrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
