The wait time for scheduled appointment is ridiculous. They are constantly late, even when the waiting room is empty If I ran my business like this, I wouldn't have a business. Rude. Rude. Rude.

Have had 5 knee surgeries and Dr. Funk is the only one to ever get it right!! 4 by other orthopedic doctors, never fixed. 1 by Dr. Funk 10 years ago and still good to go.

Went to Dr. Funk after a fall that caused my knee to hurt, crack and pop over time. Normal activity became more and more difficult. Dr. Funk did an xray and told me nothing was wrong and I would need to live with the popping sound. He said its normal for some people and said I could come for knee pain injections. I went for a second opinion to Dr. Britten who did and MRI and found I have an osteochondral defect, basically a hole in my cartilage and surgery is needed.

Had left knee, then right knee and wife's and bonus daughter's knees repaired by Dr. Funk, and could not have had better care anywhere else! Dr. Funk is an outstanding expert in his field, direct and professional as well as personable, and I highly recommend him to anyone with any Orthopedic problem. No need to keep limping around on painful knee. Dr. Funk's staff works with people on getting the most affordable testing and health care in Abilene.

Was told at my pre-op appointment that he changed his mind about surgery due to me having "too much scar tissue", given a knee brace that was nearly my full leg told to wear it anytime I was gonna be on my feet longer than 10min and told I would be fine as long as I got a job where I sat the rest of my life. I honestly was dumbfounded and thought I had misheard him or misunderstood, if it wasnt for my husband being there too I wouldn't have believed it. After multiple appointments that I had to pay a big copay for since he was a specialty doc, so literally hundreds of dollars out of pocket to be man-splained to.

He is a horrible doctor!! No one should ever have to go through what my grandma went through with him!

This man is a horrible excuse for a professional physician. I went to his office to discuss hip replacement. Instead of listening to me, he began yelling, talking down to me and scolding me about the pain meds I was getting from pain med doctor. He wasn't yelling anything at me I didn't already know and I was agreeing with him. I left without the help I went there to get. Desperate to get some pain relief, I called his assist. about getting a shot in my hip. Still no call back. This guy is jerk.

Received a bill for 300 dollars after the appointment 3 months later. They required drug testing, but it was out of network.. At least the north side doctors use in network for everything. Very disappointed. Will never return.

Dr Funk did my knee replacement in Feb 2015 and was a great success. June 2017 was bitten by a dog just behind my knee and it got infected. My primary doc put me in hospital on strong IV antibiotics, He had Dr. Funk come to check because of the bite site was near the replacement. Dr Funk had to do minor surgery to clear infected area. I was in hospital 4 days, he came by every day and I had a followup in his office a week after my release from hospital. Very pleased with Dr Funk

Very upsetting. Arrived for appt at 10 am, was never attended to, i was in the room for hour and 35 minutes! Will not recommend to anyone
