Total waste of time. Very rude, does not listen, no help whatsoever. Avoid and find a better option in Kansas City.
My father has been seeing Dr. Ewing for several years. Just recently I had to begin taking him to his appointments. I have found that Dr. Ewing is great with my father. He really listens when to him and always tells us the truth even if it's not what we want to hear. He talks to my father in a way that he can understand and I truely appreciate that. Wonderful doctor!
Dr. Ewing is a Good doctor. He does not sugarcoat anything—tells it like it is. He listens and gives good advice.
He was extremely rude and dismissive. Waited 2 months to see him after two strokes and was told the memory issues and confusion were caused by depression.
Was referred 2 him by my neurologist n OP 2 have an EMG as it was an hr closer. He acted as if he was my dr. After a couple of quest’s, he had me diagnosed b4 the EMG. I mentioned a video of my severe nerve pain that he didn’t care 2 see. His bedside manner was atrocious. I showed it 2 him anyway & changed his mind. If he’d asked more questions & listened 2 me, he would’ve known. After the EMG, he ordered an MRI of my cervical spine, nerve pain is n my thigh. I went & day after, w/o hearing a word from their office, rec’d an auto text inform’g me I was scheduled 4 an MRI of my brain!! I called office & she answered the phone laugh’g, loud laughter n the background. So unprofessional. I was told his nurse was out 2day. I’m supposed 2 wonder all weekend why an MRI ordered of my brain? Was lied 2 about his nurse not being there, she called back within mins, read 2 me what was found on the MRI-gibberish. LSS, called my actual dr, they’re handling it. I’ll drive 90 min 4 anymore tests.
He is my HERO! He States the facts, good or bad, because of that He has helped me with 2 of the greatest battles in my life..... My peace of mind, and my health issues.... He Rocks!
If it weren’t for God putting this man in my life I would of never gotten answers that I’d been searching for years God bless him
After a certain amount of time and testing, not knowing what to do, he literally shrugged his shoulders and raised his hands in the air “idk what else to do “
Absolutely horrible and rude neurologist. Went to him for a second opinion for my MS diagnosis. He tells me o don't have it because the lesions aren't in the correct spots. I told him about my sleep apnea and waking up with major headaches. This man puts me on Topiramate. I noticed in my patient portal of my medical records with him he claimed to have done different tests to check balance and strength. He straight up lied. Not one time did he do a test on me. His bedside manner is Horrible. Never looked up at me once while he was typing away on his computer. The problems I explained to him he never documented. He kept pushing Topiramate saying there is nothing wrong with me. So I decided to get a third opinion. My first diagnosis was correct and this shady doctor didn't want to mess with it. Save yourself the time and trouble. Best thing I ever did was find another doctor.
I attended the first appointment that my mother had with Dr. Ewing and recall him being a little direct. He felt that my mother was being over medicated, and he began a plan to significantly reduce the number of medications she had been prescribed. It was the correct plan of action.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
