Very nice office and staff.Dr.Shakir is great at explaining your condition to you and what needs to be done to improve it.I came away from my visit feeling very comfortable and confident with my decision to have Dr.Shakir do the procedure.

It was so comfortable, professional and efficient. The staff was so helpful and the way they work together is remarkable!. The Dr. Is very compassionate and always addresses all your concerns and questions. I will ALWAYS refer my family and friends. Thank you Dr. Shakier and your very caring team. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shakir and his staff at Coastal. Everyone in the office is friendly and efficient with a complete and genuine willingness to help. I was recommended to the office by my eye doctor and ended up needing surgery on my right eye. I was very nervous but Dr. Shakir put me at ease by explaining everything in detail and making sure that I understood not only the procedure but the after care as well. Anyone needing specialized eye care should not hesitate to visit Coastal and Dr. Shakir.

Dr. Shakir & his staff are exceptional! I was referred to Dr. Shakir for retinal surgery & honestly I was frightened. From the moment I walked in, the staff was so very kind & understanding- EVERTHING was explained to me very clearly. I felt like the staff & the Dr genuinely cared about my wellbeing. It was refreshing to be treated like a personal friend AND a VIP (very important patient). I felt so comfortable & confident after my first visit that I was no longer afraid to return for my surgery. All through the surgery the Dr spoke with me & would tell me I was 'doing great', 'almost over', 'hang in there'-he walked me through an uncomfortable procedure with such ease, kindness & grace that I referred my own mother. She will be visiting the office next week & I trust that my family is in the very best hands. Should my little boy ever need Dr Shakir, I would definitely place my trust in him. Not only are the Dr & his staff exemplary, it is an immaculate & beautiful office! 6 stars!

I have been seeing Dr. Shakir for almost a year. I suffered an cornea abrasion and I have received the best care and treatment from Dr. Shakir and his amazing staff. I was a new patient when my abrasion occurred on May 7, it occurred during the night and I was fit into see Dr. Shakir the next morning! I was so grateful that Dr. Shakir and his staff were so accommodating to me even during COVID! I am so thankful that I found Dr. Shakir and his team!

I saw Dr. Shakir recently for a retinal emergency after being referred by my normal eye doctor. I was able to be squeezed onto the schedule as soon as I left my other doctor's office, and while I was nervous the entire staff made me feel calm and less afraid. The technician answered all of my questions, and it turns out I needed laser treatment that same day. The whole office got it done for me and I am so grateful! Dr. Shakir and his staff are second to none and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs eye care. You won't regret it!
