List of Sushmita Veloor's Reviews
Absolutely I would recommend Dr. Velour to my immediate family, extended family, friends. To anyone who needs a very good pain management doctor. Dr. Velour treats you and talks to you about your needs and concerns. She treats and listens to what you have to say. She takes whatever time you need. She always asks about your other health conditions. She is really easy to communicate with. She is very educated about your pain management medication and doesn't over do it. As with all pain management doctors, you need to maintain your current medication and follow by her standards. This is of no issue, if you truly need her care. Her staff is equally as nice as Dr. Velour
I am now a patient of Dr Veloor and she is amazing. I was really stressed about even going after seeing the negative reviews. She is very knowledgeable and by no means is rude or disrespectful. She spent a decent amount of time reviewing my medical history and looking at different ways of trying to help. I am extremely pleased with my treatment plan. She is polite and professional. I would highly recommend her.
Dr. Veloor spends alot of time with me explaining things very well. Has helped me very much and listened to my concerns. Very friendly staff! I appreciate them all so much.
I am new to pain treatment and was expecting a positive appointment and concern and treatment for my situation. I wasn't given any of these things. I know doctors are in a hurry, but I thought a new patient would at least get to have a conversation with the doctor. I will not go back, ever.
I am very old now. This Dr. treated me like a child, as if I had no understanding of what she was saying. She also spoke very quickly and interrupted me when I asked questions or even tried to answer her questions. She did not look at my medical records or do an exam. She was extremely rude and has made the treatment of my conditions so intensely stressful. There is no room for discussion or collaboration in her treatment, maybe because she's trying to rush you out as fast as possible. This experience has worsened my overall health as well. I hope other patients will speak up. Thank you.
I was not expecting disapproval and a condescending attitude from a "doctor" (that's in quotes for a reason) who treats pain conditions. There was no understanding of how excruciating this situation is. Why is she still allowed to practice?
I don't know how she obtained a medical degree. It must not have been a good school. Please save yourself, your time, your physical and emotional stress levels, and find another doctor.
Why is this woman a doctor? A pain doctor no less. It is clear by her treatment of patients that she has no interest in helping them and openly shows her disdain and lack of interest. She was even rude to my helper who took me to my appointment. The organization(s) employing her should take a hard look because she is really lowering the standard of care offered by them. I wouldn't wish this doctor on my worst enemy. Get someone else. You'll be glad you did.
Don't do it, just spare yourself the agony. This is a doctor who does not care about your circumstances, and who moves patients in and out as quickly as possible to make some quota. She's very rude and condescending and shows her disdain for her patients and was even rude to my helper. The organizations employing her should take a real hard look because she is lowering their standard of care significantly/enormously. I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy.
Dr. Veloor never demonstrated any understanding whatsoever of severe chronic pain and its horrible effects and showed no empathy or kindness for her patients. I never understood why she chose pain management, because she was completely inconsiderate with respect to chronic pain. She never did an actual exam or reviewed scans or reports that demonstrated the physical conditions causing my pain. She was always looking for options to reduce her liability instead of looking for options to treat pain -- she never came up with treatment recommendations or solutions, only responded to solutions I presented. If you have any other option, I would recommend going that route. She is the worst.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
