Dr. Hentzen-Page treated me for abnormal bleeding following menopause. After trying other options I ended up having a complete hysterectomy. Dr. Hentzen-Page always took the time to answer any and all questions, and explained everything in terms that were easily understood. She always took however much time I needed and was never rushed.

My female doc for years. Outstanding bedside manner for patient with fear of docs!

I have really appreciated Dr. HP's professionalism and the level of respect I feel I get back from her in return. She has always explained everything until I have felt comfortable. She is up to date with the latest in med techniques (as compared to my friends' experiences with their drs). After my hysterectomy experience, I recommend her to everyone who needs a true professional. I'm not a fan of all her office staff, but that's not her fault.

Doctor was stony the entire time. I've never had an exam before, so I wasn't expecting much, but it threw me in a panic attack. As a doctor she never asked if I was okay, I had to ask her to hold on while I tried to pull myself together. The only one who responded with any compassion was the blood work lady. She kept pushing contraceptives without giving me much time to think either, ignoring the 7 sheets of paperwork I handed her.

I can't tell you how many times this woman had crossed my mind since I gave birth.. I wish I had never met her. Our lives are changed forever. My child barely survived birth and will have health issues for the rest of her life and I have to have pelvic reconstructive surgery. I loved her and her nurses at prenatal appointments, but I don't think she can handle anything out of the norm and doesn't seem to make good decisions under pressure.

She is always up on the latest research, but her bedside manner isn't good. She always spends more time talking to me about my weight than anything else. I get it, I'M FAT! I try really hard to lose weight, but I'm a failure at that. Fat is all she sees or thinks about when I'm there. Sometimes I wonder if she might miss a real issue bc she is so focused on fat. I wish she would stick to treating me for my female issues. I have a regular Dr. that I see every few months and I think that should be his area. It's bad enough being naked, spread eagle in the stirrups and your doctor has to shame you about your weight. I know she is just trying to be helpful, but it makes me dread every appointment. It also makes me put off my annual exams because I know that I'll just end up upset. I also hate that patients get weighed in an area where lots of people are passing by. In short, she's great if you are thin, but otherwise, find a Dr who realizes how vulnerable a trip to the gyno makes you feel!
