List of Scott Alan Wingerter Md's Reviews
I have actually referred Dr Wingerter and his staff several times, as well as KC Orthopedic hospital, as the best facility to have any type of knee replacement surgery. The care, and expertise I have received has from the very start has been exceptionally well. The doctor is a top notch physician, and may very well be the best in the state. His supporting cast of doctors, and his assistant Kim are personable, and caring individuals as well.
Excellent knee replacement, recommend highly
Excellent Dr.! Did a great job on my knee replacement I would recommend him highly!
Dr. Wingerter has performed a complete replacement of my left hip and a partial replacement of my left knee. In each of these cases he has proven himself a competent and compassionate clinician. I commend Dr. Wingerter and his medical team to anyone seeking relief from joint pain.
Dr. Wingerter is a very good orthopedic surgeon he is thorough and very professional and is a well qualified in the Makoplasty Robotic surgery which is what I wanted after hours of research and speaking directly to Mako representatives. Dr. Maue
I met twice with dr wingerter….most of my visits in his office were with the PA..Day of surgery Dr wingerter came in to mark my knee…however he was in pre op with me for a few minutes and I didn’t realize who the masked man was….he was gone before I realized he was behind the mask….Also post op was the same way. My surgery was Friday, I did have the attending physician come in Saturday am and examine my knee and it was a quick exam . I don’t believe anyone reviewed my post op care with me…Blood clot prevention ,pain medication, how long for physical therapy I like how my knee feels and how it is healing. I am disappointed that I had questions about my post care that nobody explained to me either in pre op or post op
I've been with him a few years and he is great.
I saw Dr. Wingerter for a 2nd opinion after an absolutely HORRID experience with another doctor. He actually explained my MRI results and talked about the variety of options available to me before we have to think about surgery. He listened, he explained the options well, and he was honest. I can't say the cortisone shot was my favorite part of the visit, but I sure feel better now! :)
Dr Wingerter was great on doing two total knee replacements for me at the same time. After 1 year since surgery, I am pretty much back to normal. The scars are nearly invisible. I still have some stiffness in my knees and getting down on my hands and knees is uncomfortable. But all in all, I feel pretty good.
Dr Wingerter very carefully explained what knee problems exist. He then went over multiple options and discussed the pros and cons of each. He was patient with my questions and we developed a plan to go forward. Surgery is scheduled approximately 1 month subsequent to our meeting. I look forward to getting this behind me. I have confidence in his ability to fix my issues.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
