I started my journey with a different Dr's office, there was just things that didn't set right with me. So I called my insurance and ask if they covered a different Dr office for my surgery. They told me about the bariatric & metabolic specialist. I met with Dr. Del A Torra and his staff on my 1st office visit, I felt 200% better about having my surgery when I left that office.I had my surgery everything went just as I was told step by step. The staff was awesome at Menorah medical center. I had all of my fallow up appointments with all my questions answered, even called the office a couple times and got an answer before I hung up.I meet Dr Suttmoeller at my 6 month fallow up. His office is just as nice, friendly and knowledgeable as the main office. Dr. Suttmoeller answers all my questions and tells me in plan English and right to the point.I'm super glad I went to the Bariatric & Metabolic Specialist for my surgery.

I initially found Dr. Suttmoeller on Google while looking for physicians that could assist me with weight loss, and I am glad I did. I take multiple medications for various issues and he was extremely knowledgeable on what medications would interact with those that I am already on. Within minutes of talking to him, you will understand that he is a very experienced physician.I highly recommend Dr. Suttmoeller.

Cant' say enough positive words. Have had some setbacks and is always positive and never shames unlike some doctors I've had in the past.

Prescribed a diet pill for me, knowing I had bipolar disorder and he said that most psychiatrists are not happy with him when he does that. I had a frightening allergic reaction to it because it did not mix well with my medications. I had to go to the emergency room and could barely breathe or swallow, plus my legs were swelled up. The ER dr said it was negligent of him to have prescribed this for me. I called and left a message with his staff to give to him, letting him know about the ER visit. They never returned my call. Also, regarding the diet he wants you to eat - it is not sustainable. He doesn't want you to eat any carbs (even whole wheat tortillas) - only protein and vegetables. Not a healthy plan.
