Amazing Dr....
I have been to a number of family practitioners in Manhattan but have never felt they took the time to listen. Since Dr. Pope has started his new practice, he is able to take more time with patients. I especially like that he gives you options, and you can then decide which is best for you. His nurse Jennifer is always helpful, making it easy to set up appointments and get advice. Very highly recommended!
Dr. Andrew Pope is a fantastic physician. He's attentive and very informative. He was one of the first doctors I've had who really took their time to listen to me and did not rush through our appointment. I had a great experience with Dr. Pope and have since moved away or else I'd still be a patient.
Dr. Pope was always very attentive, took his time with me, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new PCP.
Dr. Pope is easy to talk to and doesn't treat me like he's in a rush. I think he's great.
Dr. Pope is really nice and takes the time to get to know his patients. I go in regularly for asthma check ups and you can tell that he has my best interest in mind with the medications he has me on and my overall general health. He also likes to joke around and is sometimes sarcastic which I enjoy, it makes going to the doctor not as bad!
He is a good doctor. His office staff is terrible and like most doctors he is clueless as to what goes on in this clinic. Nurse seems flighty and disorganized. We made 14 phone calls to check in on an escript. It took 3 1/2 hours to get the prescription to the pharmacy...I would agree prescriptions are absolutely a nighthmare. Staff does not know other staff. When doctor was unavailable we were told we could see another provider, we assumed would be a doctor or physician assistant... but it was just a nurse...completely unacceptable. Diagnoses was correct, medication did not correct issue had to return again...wasting our time and money. Staff can not keep scheduled appointments. I was told they had no record of my appointment. I told them I could reschedule as it was only a flu shot. Receptionist said it was ok. Nurse made it into a big problem. Nurse also made threats to our family to charge us for an appointment cancelation.
Dr . Pope is a fantastic doctor!! My entire family sees him. After my son was born, I had severe postpartum depression. Dr. Pope sat down and really listened as I explained what I was going through. He gave me a proper diagnosis and prescribed the medication I needed to feel better. His nurse is also very personable and friendly. So thankful for Dr. Pope and his wonderful staff!!
Dr. Pope is a great doctor. I am not sure he is aware of the fact that his staff does not relay phone messages to him or we may hear back from the office when they say they will. It should not take 4 phone calls to get information from the doctor. Needless to say we ended up in the ER because nobody cared. Prescription refills are also a nightmare! If this continues we will be finding a new clinic.
I like Dr. Pope because he's easy to talk to yet very professional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
