So cold hearted! Implanted a device that was too big for me to tolerate. Anytime I tried to tell him that, the function of the device wasn’t causing me pain but the size of the device. Treated me like a drug seeker because I was so uncomfortable! This was also an abdominal surgery and through the entire process he never palpated my abdomen. I do not recommend this doctor.

My 86 year old mom saw Dr. Misasi and had a horrible experience. He made her wait for 45 minutes after she was prepped for the procedure, not because he was busy with a patient, but becuse he wasn't present in the facility. At a follow up appointment, he told her he hadn't even looked at the results and told her to call his assistant. The office had lost the test results. At another appointment he refused to see her and had a nurse meet with her instead. His staff clearly did not respect him and her GP was disgusted. My mom spent a lot of money and had to start over from square one with a different doctor.

I have never had abdominal surgery where the doctor NEVER touched your abdomen! He never could get it through his head that it was the device itself, not the function, that was causing me excruciating pain. He got an idea in his head and quit listening to his patient. The device may have helped given time but I was so uncomfortable and completely dismissed as to any discomfort. It n his eyes it was impossible! Lol! There was zero support or alternatives offered during this process. Maybe he’ll mature and develop a bedside manner. Who knows?. I personally would never recommend him as a physician.

I am hoping this review will help others out when they need a colonoscopy. First, the Ridgewood Surgery and Endoscopy Center’s staff of nurses, receptionists and anesthesiologists are professional, courteous and wonderful. The experience I had with the staff was absolutely exceptional in every way...except for the doctor. I had to sign a Covid-19 consent form when I arrived. I had no issue with this process but I was also given a Covid-19 form from Dr. Adam Misasi. At the time, I signed without reservation. My check-in time was 9:00 am. I arrived about 10 minutes early. There were people ahead of me and quite a line of expectant patients in queue. We waited..and waited...and waited. Many patients slept, chatted and enjoyed the time interacting with the great nursing staff; Amy and Angie are delightful! Doctor Adam Misasi finally arrived over 3 hours late. He was a very well dressed young man with a casual appearance of arrogance. He walked in and said, “I’m sorry I am late.” I noticed he was not wearing a mask. Every person in the clinic was masked. I guess he was an exception. After a quick chat, he left and visited all the other patients. I waited a while longer. I finally went into the surgical room. As I was wheeled in, Dr. Misasi was to my left at the entrance of the small room. He again was not wearing a mask. This is a pandemic, I had to sign forms and as far as I have known usual protocol is for a surgical team to mask up. He coughed into his right elbow. I did not express concern since I had already waived my right to do so by pre-signing his form. I also was reticent to making an issue about the physician who would any minute be doing a procedure on me. I want others to be aware… 1. I would recommend not signing the doctor’s personal Covid waiver. He needs to be respectful of the process and wear a mask. 2. Dr. Misasi certainly does not need to answer to me as a patient but a calming moment to let me know he had been late due to….an emergency? Family issue? 3. A 3 hour delay for surgery was unacceptable given the circumstances that every patient had been fasting for at least 24 hours and at the very least a heartfelt or sincere apology was needed. 3 hours late for anything would be grounds for dismissal of staff. Why was he exempt? 4. I believe Dr. Adam Misasi puts people at unnecessary risk, does not have his heart in the right place, has disregard for his patients, and I believe patient care is second on his agenda. Dr. Misasi is a wonderful Doctor. He spent a lot of time explaining the procedure to us and answering all of our questions.

Dr. Misasi was amazing. He got us in quickly and explained everything in Lehman's terms so we understood what he was talking about. Surgery went smoothly and the follow up was great. Highly recommend him.
