I'd look elsewhere if you want a doctor who cares. His staff was nice, but when he entered, he didn't address the issue for the visit or even try. Had 0 knowledge about any question asked regarding my wife's issues despite the fact they stemmed from his supposed area of experties. Felt her stomach, said, nothing I can do right now if it happens again go to the ER. Ordered none of the recommended test one would think you should get. Was on his way out in under 2 min. Did absolutely nothing and it was overwhelmingly clear he could care less about his patients. We were $$$ to fill a slot, and that was all. I don't understand how he could get such good reviews, even our main doctor was appalled at his lack of professionalism and thoroughness. We will not be back, and we will probably be lodging a complaint with his employer at St. Lukes. I'm usually easy going, but his lack of professionalism and knowledge defies reason.

I fault good about my decision on having the bariatric surgery everything went good only I don't like is not eating already loss 15 pounds in a week give him a 10

Dr. Slayden took care of me when I was admitted to St. Luke's South from the E.R. in August 2018. It was due to his brilliant care that I recovered, Not only did he fully explain my problem and supervised all care that I received in the hospital but also personally called Dr. Cummings and Interventional Radiology at the Plaza just for another opinion. Today I am well and it is all thanks to his caring attitude and professionalism.

Met Dr. Slayden and his staff for the first time for a pre-op appointment. Felt very positive about the competence and efficiency of Dr Slayden, his nurse Mindy, and other staff. They thoughtfully listened to our questions and made us comfortable with their answers. They described the procedure in detail and probable outcomes and risks. We feel very confident that we have come to the right place!

I had lap VSG. Pain wasn't managed post op, no pain meds sent home. Didn't listen to me , look at my 6 incisions , come within 3 steps of the doorway in my 2 nights 3 days hospitalized. A competent and talented surgeon I am sure but not the best at practicing medicine outside of the OR

Dr. Slayden performed laproscopic surgery for a hernia on me. It was virtually painless and didn't require pain killers after two days from surgery. A quiet and respectful demeanor. I would highly recommend Dr, Slayden for this type of surgery.
