I had a positive experience at Heartland. Effective program and the staff were always pleasant. I do believe the cost for the body composition test was pricey, but otherwise no complaints about their service. Unfortunately they moved their location, which after while forced me to switch my care to another clinic closer to home and work.
I have been on my journey with Heartland Weight Loss for a year and a half and have lost 38 pounds. The staff has been so supportive and have worked with me to create a life style that works for me. I could not be more grateful for them and look forward to continuing my journey for the rest of weight loss and beyond.
The place is great so are the staff.
I’ve been a patient on and off for several years but I ultimately stopped scheduling here. The first few appointments are incredibly motivating if you are seeing doctor Younglove herself however the same can’t be said for the rest of her NPs, especially if you are struggling. Overall the entire experience was incredibly transactional and if I wanted that I can use one of the thousands of telehealth services out there which is in fact what I’m doing now and am much more satisfied. I don’t know how many people are happy to pay a specialist copay to have a provider never look up from the laptop and speak to you for less than 5 minutes. I’ve never been personally victimized by the tardy policy but they take that way to seriously too. I routinely waited for them for more than 10 minutes so the constant threats of rescheduling are wildly obnoxious.
My experience here was less than stellar. I was basically given Wegovy and told to eat more protein. Each appointment was 5 minutes and was "eat more protein". They were also investigated in 2023 by Blue Cross Blue Shield of KC, and now no longer take that insurance. My last appointment I had Covid and my child was sick, I canceled my appointment the day before and they threatened to take me to collections for a missed appointment fee. While I understand their cancellation policy, I had never missed an appointment before and they didn't allow any grace. Additionally, because of their attitude towards that, I decided to not rebook again and never heard another word from them (well, except about how much they wanted that $35 paid). They are a numbers game here. Do yourself a favor and if you want Wegovy, etc. save your time and get it from your primary care doc.
The program was pretty good for the most part. The customer centric nature of the clinic was horrible and it seemed like a revolving door of staff. They had this weird 5 minute punctuality rule where if you were late something like 5 minutes they made you feel really awful and would bill you and force you to rebook. I was 5 minutes late twice in over 2 years, once because I just laid off my entire team and once because they had insane construction surrounding the highways down to their clinic. Never mind all of the times I waited much more than 5 minutes for them in the lobby, they refused to see me and wanted me to rebook. I promptly quit and moved on and am so glad I did. The environment always felt toxic and stressful there and I did not need that when working on my health.
Jessica is amazing! She is the first provider I’ve had that actually listened to my struggles and made me feel like an individual. I’m so sad to see her go. Very stressful thinking about having to start over with someone else.
I was told repeatedly that my insurance was accepted. Unfortunately, I didn't get that in writing. I didn't know that they waited almost a year to submit my claims, meanwhile telling me (verbally) that my insurance was being accepted. It was not, the entire time - they simply hadn't submitted my claims. They will scam you. Do not use their services.
This is truly an awesome place. In just six months I’ve lost close to sixty pounds. The staff is so knowledgeable. They are special people to be working with. I couldn’t have done it without them. I feel truly blessed to have found them and to be able to work with them. If you need to lose weight like I did you should really give them a shot, you won’t regret it.
I was recommended here to see Dr. Younglove and as a new patient now you can’t. I was only able to see nurse practitioners, which I was fine with. They changed their tune-told me I could come at whatever frequency best supported my needs and then said I had to come monthly. They seem very focused on wanting to lock you into their fee plans.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
