Trying to get follow up appt from ER visit for 4 weeks. Office doesn't call back and the person that answers the phone can't make the appointment only the nurse who doesn't follow up on calls.

Dr rooney was great. Got me all patched up. Both her nurses in Lee's Summit were awesome. The office staff in Lee's Summit is awesome. The home office staff is nonexistant. If you need anything besides an appointment, you won't get it. I can only here, "we value your business, please continue to hold, we'll be right back" for so long before I really start to doubt those words. I'm not sure when the actual doubt started, but I know that by the time I was 30 minutes in, for the third time, I very much doubted it. I did actually talk to a person the third time. It was at the 15 minute mark, and she asked me to hold. I told her I had been holding for 15 minutes. She said they were short staffed, and put me on hold. I'm writing this at the 32 minute mark...wonder how long before they get to me? ............. 40 minutes. The person that finally answered was nice. Even had a laugh with her. But 40 minutes is insane when you're worried about complications, or if something is a complication.

I had a test done three weeks ago and can't get a response from them. I have call three times now and don't get a response.

Update...hernia came back within 1 yr after being super careful and following all instructions. My abdominal muscles are separated and hanging like pulled back curtains on each side of my abdomen. A myofascial flap was used and that's where the hernia has come thru bigger than anything I had before. It's about the size of a very large grapefruit just to the right of my belly button. I'm currently looking for a specialized surgeon as this has become something more than general hernia repair. Dr. Austin lehr is a rock star. He performed an emergency surgery and then followed up with fixing it the rest of the way. Bedside manner is great as long as you take the time to engage the doctor. Most of the doctors seem to be very good and caring.

Do not trust them to schedule your procedures properly. They will email you with the wrong date and/or time. OR only schedule 1/2 of your procedure. Every time we have to deal with this office - something goes wrong.

Dr. Brian McCrowskey has excellent skill and goes above and beyond compassion and caring. God used him to save my life. I am very appreciative of him and the way he truly cares. I recommend him to anyone. His entire staff is also kind and compassionate. I feel comfortable and safe with him doing major surgery or anything. Thank you for all that you do!

Always a pleasure to visit this office. The receptionist are pleasant and informative. My wait time was short,less than ten minutes. Dr took the time to sit and discuss my treatment.options.
