Kelly JAMES Hendricks's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Hendricks took on my case pledging to fix a hip that was implanted the previous year by another orthopedic surgeon. I had home healthcare who communicated my care and progress with Dr. Hendricks’ staff. I followed all instructions and had hopes of walking normally with the second new hip. It didn’t happen. I asked for additional care and exams by Dr. Hendricks. It didn’t happen. For the second time care with a second orthopedic surgeon specialty in hip replacements was subpar. Neither surgeon conducted hands-on examinations after surgery. There was no hands-on manipulation to find my painful complaints. The joint pops in/out. The new implant joint sets further back in my buttocks because my first joint crumbled when removed. A week after surgery, the thigh bone fractured at the end of the new longer thigh implant. Ultimately, Dr. H told me that I am “broken and that I need to walk with a cane”. He never once did a physical. I wish I had never had my hip replaced!!!

Would recommend Dr. Hendricks to anyone with a hip issue. He is very nice, knowledgeable and listens to your concerns.

Didn't see the surgeon much but the care from nurses was excellent. But no following up after going home. I guess they figure if you have a problem you will call them. It's more like an assembly line in the OR. However my pain is gone and that was the main thing for me. Yes i would recommend this facility to family and friends.

The receptionist is soo incredibly rude and unprofessional I ended up canceling my appointment all together.

Dr Hendricks was wonderful. He spent quite a bit of time with me and answered all of my questions. Instead of surgery he suggested other ways of easing my knee pain. I am doing physical therapy and it is helping me.

Continuity of care is poor. His staff do not followup. I have developed a complication as a result of poor followup. I am not sure that the physician is aware of this situation. I am extremely disappointed and have made the decision to seek post surgery care with another physician.

I am very grateful for Dr. Kelly Hendricks. I was referred to Dr. Hendricks by my family physician. I was nervous because, I had so many bad experiences with Dr’s. And, at this point my family physician was the only Dr. I trusted. From the beginning Dr. Hendricks made me feel comfortable. Dr. Hendricks & his team were compassionate, professional informative and, thorough in reference to exactly what I needed. I couldn’t walk and needed full hip replacements on both my right & left hip. Dr. Hendricks and his office were wonderful. His team & staff are Extremely pleasant & professional. I am forever grateful for my new hips!! And, a second chance to have a normal life!!! Thank you! Dr. Hendricks & his entire amazing team & staff!!

Dr Hendricks did my total knee replacement April 23, 2021. Am getting ready to go into the physical therapy outside the home. This Surgeon has changed my life.

If I could give zero stars, i would. From start to finish I was very disappointed. First point of confussion was the building name. Was it building one or building c? When I called to ask, i was told building c, however, building c is not posted except near the elevator inside the lobby. Then, i am told the doctor won't see me or talk to me until he see xrays and MRI. Not happy about this. Why would I waste time and money doing xrays and MRI if the doctor can not or will not help me with a well known birth defect? Rediclous that I would have to spend money for xrays to be told he won't help me. I have a birth defect called patella Alta, which simply means my patella aka knee cap is malpositioned. This is a painful condiction that causes extensive wear on the cartilage. Once the cartlidge has full thickness loss, the under layer is exposed and this causes even more pain. My cartilage looks like swiss cheese and the under layer is showing edema or swelling. Also have several cyst and bone marrow edema. There is an operation that can fix the positioning of the patella, but the doctor refuses to do so. Tells me just live with the pain until arthritis damages the bone enough to warrant knee replacements. I may never develope arthritis. What kind of a doctor refuses to help a patient. What kind of a doctor leaves a patient in chronic pain without even so much as a plan to manage the pain. I would not recomend this office to my worse enemy.

As always, friendly and expert care. As a response to another review, I was a hospital administrator for 17 years and I have met some (not a lot) arrogant surgeons. Dr. Hendricks is friendly, humble but confident. I would have welcomed him on my medical staff any day. His attitude is reflected in the office staff who are always welcoming and efficient.
