Last year when I was really weak and sick with Covid this office kicked me out and wouldn't see me because I was 10 minutes late. Today I waited 30 minutes just to get a shot. The arrogance of this office is just unbelievable. How is it ok to kick out a really sick patient, treating them like a naughty child, for being 10 minutes late but it's ok for them to be 30 minutes late for a mere shot? Patient’s lives and schedules are equally as important as a doctor’s!!! And seriously, try for a little empathy when your patients are really, really sick and there is no one else waiting to be seen in the waiting room. Unconscionable.
Love dr Luzania!
A well-oiled machine with a friendly staff
Dr Luzania is a fantastic doctor, like one of the best, been with him for at least 8-10 years. The problem is the front desk staff they are probably the worst one I've ever experienced. They are not coordinated, and very difficult to deal with. I'd give the Doctor a 5 and the staff a - 5. Just the rudest and most unhelpful group, process to get refills on prescriptions is onerous, factor in the level of basic service the front desk provides and a 1 is where I come out on a rating. The amount of communication about important topics, the inability to speak with someone when you need help, the issues getting prescriptions refilled makes them not the ideal place if you take maintenance drugs. The pictures of their office with empty chairs, is what I normally see, no one in the lobby, 2-3 people at the front counter, some bill collectors in the back. Had one experience where my daughter needed to be dropped at school, so I was running late to my appointment, I called when I left the school to let them know I was running late, was on hold from the school to Drs office for 27 minutes. Walked in to an empty lobby one of the first appts in the morning and told by a very arrogant business manager that my appointment was cancelled that they were extremely busy (which by the empty room was easy to see they were not overwhelmed) and I would need to reschedule. Not a bit of care that I wasted my time on hold, when they could have either accepted that no one picked up and let me in, which was fair I was 10 minutes late but what really pissed me off was that if they had picked up they could have saved me an hour of my life by not coming in at all. So, rescheduled, wrote the day and time down, confirmed it with the appointment maker and then showed up on the following Wednesday to be told my appointment was on Tuesday and that I had missed it. I showed them the paper I'd written down the time and date on and confirmed that Wednesday was what I was told. Didn't matter had to reschedule, this felt like it was on purpose and wasted another hour driving back and forth and a 3rd hour later that week to come back. Keep in mind that I'm taking 3 hours of personal time each time. Reviews are opinion, my opinion is that the doctor is awesome but the staff, come on, there is no way service and care has dropped to the lowest level. Anyway 2 years later, missed an appointment that I didn't even schedule, and now apparently I need to find another doctor. And I will be out of a maintenance drug I take from a prior Cancer diagnosis. Found a new Doctor closet to my house and can't get in until the 9th of September so I'll be out of my prescriptions.
Dr Luzania: Just goes through the motions, literally writes things in your chart without discussing them with you then shuffles to the next room. AVOID HIM. Makes lame attempts at conversation. I was his patient for 4 years. You cannot go to him when you are sick, they always book you a few weeks out and refuse to see you when you actually need to. The whole time I was his patient I had to use the "doc in the box" for when I got sick. ALSO: I had a heart attack and called them from the hospital, I told the girl who answered and she said "oh no it will be at least 2 weeks before he can see you". The staff is rude and treat you like an annoyance. Their treatment can become very offensive. Only thing he's good for is writing your monthly prescription if you need metformin, etc. He's like a thumb with legs that shuffles around and just mumbles "statin, statin. statin" Avoid this place, almost any place is better.
Dr. Ehly listened, investigated, and gave me good information.
I have been going here for about 10 years, and unfortunately, the issues that existed 10 years ago still do today. my doctor, SCHNICK is amazing, but the office is very poorly run- they handled COVID terribly, putting all the phones to VM, you still cant call even to ask a simple question without waiting on hold 15 minutes, and when I checked in a couple of weeks ago the front desk gal (wrapped in a blanket) paused her netflix show to barely look up at me. The billing is always a mess too. I will unfortunately) be making a move becuse my time is simply not valued here.
My first visit here. Process went smooth and in and out quick .
Love my Dr, but had to wait on hold for an hour to schedule appt. This isn't the first time. The staffing issue has been an ongoing excuse and the apology no longer works. If you're not already a patient, I don't recommend this practice. As an existing patient I'm losing my patience.
Just goes through the motions, can't be bothered to review notes from previous visits or didn't take them. If their tests say everything is "normal " they're done, doesn't matter how the patient actually feels but they are happy to bill you for the experience. Will prescribe you medication with out an actual diagnosis. If you just need a signature for a school physical they can get you that, for anything else go somewhere else. As of July 2022 it costs $219 to speak with the doctor for like 10 minutes. They won't tell you prices ahead of time. Can't even pay in person at the time of service. You have to wait a couple weeks before they send you a bill..before they have even contacted you with any updates from the tests. And still waiting on a separate bill for the hospital services, once again they won't tell you prices beforehand, even for standard stuff. After filling out all the forms they make you do every time they dont seem to actually update your info..old insurance was billed despite them having the new one but they didn't notify me or ask for a new one when that didnt work, they just sent me the bill. I had to call in and ask what was going on to get it fixed. Also family members phone numbers have gotten called instead of mine.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
