The Tasty Balance's Online Review Report Card

I refer to the Tasty Balance nearly every week. After covid and a kid, I felt like my family lost the joy in food. I have made significant improvements with adding in fiber, eating more of a variety of foods, and have started cooking more of a variety items that don’t stress me out. I felt really stuck in generating meals before. Highly recommend Ariel and her team. Ariel has been patient and not pushy with me and she understands the baggage that comes with food. My whole family has benefitted from these changes and I am grateful.

Janean is always positive, kind, and compassionate on top of being very knowledgeable and helpful. I always feel welcome to ask questions and appreciate her being a person I can hold myself accountable in my eating journey. In just a year working with her, I have already made a ton of progress. Thanks to her I feel more confident as well as giving myself grace when I'm less than perfect.

Janean is so knowledgeable and compassionate. We have really enjoyed her help and advice over the last several months. It's so nice to be heard and acknowledged!

I have been working with Kristin for the past 6 months and I can’t imagine going through my weight loss journey without her. She’s patient, informative and completely non judgmental. I feel safe to share when I have feelings of guilt, cravings or not making healthy choices. She helps me come up with options and a plan and it always motivates me. I’m no where near ready to be on my own in this journey and I’m very happy to have her on my team. Thank you Kristin!!!

Billing Bait and Switch - Beware!

Very disappointing experience. I made sure that my insurance covered registered nutritionists & dieticians and that they were in network, then booked an appointment. A few days before my appointment, they texted me to tell me I’d need to self-pay at $150 an hour. I provided screenshots showing that my insurance covered it, and they told me they cancelled my appointment without any further explanation or attempt to work with me. I understand that insurance can be tricky, but I dont understand why they wouldn’t make any attempt to help. Please do better. Edit: I want to be clear that I’m not frustrated by the insurance part of this. Insurance is tricky and that’s not their fault. I am frustrated that they ignored every message I sent asking for more information and providing screenshots from my insurance saying that this is covered entirely, after telling me I had to self-pay. They only responded when I said I wanted to cancel if they couldn’t provide more information, and only to say that I was cancelled. Only once I said I was going to leave a negative review did they actually provide me any actual information. For a service that is so expensive, I believe your team can provide a higher level of customer support and care.

Jade is awesome to work with. She is knowledgeable and supportive, and gives advice that is both practical and maintainable. I could not have ended up with a better dietician.

Getting to work with Kate Aragon has been one of the best experiences! She always meets me exactly where I’m at gives me plenty of options but also keeps it very real! She never makes me feel like my emotions should be ignored and makes me feel so cared for! I 100% would recommend her to anyone!!

Dani has been excellent to work with. She has helped me work on building a balanced plate, meal prep for a busy lifestyle and answers any health/nutrition questions I have. She is very kind, knowledgeable and passionate about her work.
