List of Scott C. Solcher's Reviews
Husband sodium was dropping to 111 and in the hospital weekly. Was told needed kidney specialist. Begged to be seen. Months later by this time had managed the sodium levels ourselves was he seen. He did nothing to help just took a paycheck. Don’t waste your time trying to be seen by him.
Didn’t know how to treat my CKD. My current nephrologist is MUCH better! Should have left Solcher years earlier.
Bad treatment plan. My new nephrologist discontinued Solcher’s entire treatment plan. I no longer take the meds Solcher prescribed. No longer follow the fluid and potassium restrictions Solcher prescribed. I’m no longer in renal failure. My GFR has improved from 8-9 under Solcher’s care to 24-25 with my current nephrologist. My kidneys are stable now and have been for the past 18 months. If I had known how bad Solcher’s treatment plan was for my kidneys, I’d have left him sooner.
Bad treatment plan. Over the five years I saw Solcher my GFR deteriorated from 49 to 8. He was frustrated. He did not seem to understand what was causing the deterioration. He did not seem to know how to treat the deterioration in my GFR. I changed nephrologists. My current nephrologist discontinued Solcher’s treatment plan. I no longer take the meds Solcher prescribed. No longer follow the fluid and potassium restrictions Solcher prescribed. My GFR has improved from 8-9 with Solcher to 24-25 with my current nephrologist. My renal function has been stable for the past 18 months. I should have left Solcher within the first 9-12 months. I can’t help but wonder how much renal function I’d have today had I left Solcher much sooner.
Dr Solcher’s treatment plan mad my kidneys worse. My current nephrologist discontinued everything. I no longer take the prescription medications Dr Solcher prescribed. No more fluid or potassium restrictions. My kidneys have improved from Stage V (GFR 8-9) to Stage IV (GFR 24-25).
Dr Solcher is easy to talk to and is always willing to listen and answer questions. I would not want to change to another Nephrologist.
I have stage three kidney failure and would not go anywhere else.
I have been a patient of Dr. Solcher for three years he diagnosed my end stage renal failure and along with his very capable staff set me up for my treatments at home so that I could continue my busy lifestyle, thank you Dr. for a great experience as I approach my transplant date. I recommend Dr. Solcher to anyone looking for an experienced knowledgeable and kind Nephrologist

Dr. Solcher is fantastic - always takes time with patient - keeps in touch with primary dr. I truly believe he kept me from having to undergo dialysis. A real gem and asset to folks in Lawrence.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
