A couple of months after a successful cataract surgery with Dr. Burgoyne, my eye became really blurry. I expected Dr.Burgoyne would laser the lense to clear it. She said it wasn’t bad enough for insurance to pay. I went back to her 3 times over 5 years and she still said the same thing. My eye was so blurry it was like someone smeared Vaseline over the lense and I couldn’t read out of that eye. If I’d pay out of pocket, she would do the surgery, she said. A year later and I had started a habit of constantly shutting that eye. I went to my vitreo-retinal surgeon and he sent a referral back to Dr. Burgoyne to do the laser treatment. I called and her office said the next available appointment was in 6 months! My vitreo-retinal doctor said he would do it and scheduled me for two weeks later. I had the procedure this week and my vision is crystal clear! If Dr. Burgoyne had truly listened to me and how poorly I was seeing, I believe I could have had clear vision years ago.

After a bad experience with another ophthalmologist 4 years ago, I was afraid to try eyelid surgery again. Dr. Burgoyne was recommended by my optometrist, and the efficient, no-nonsense first visit convinced me to try again. Her method was so much simpler than what I had experienced the first time, And it worked! Thank you!

Arrogant, hurried, no real patient questions to learn conditions, her office is more about plastic surgery than ophthalmology and she’s NOT a board certified plastic surgeon. Waited 2 months to get in, was charged $200. Never again.
