I was referred to Dr Lievens for abdominal pain and high luver enzymes. I could not be happier with the care I have received. He takes the time to explain things, doesn't act like my questions are stupid, and communicates exceptionally.

What a pleasure to be referred to Dr Lievens and his staff! He is very informative and enjoys making sure you fully understand what is going on during your exam. He has a white board on the wall and draws images of the digestive tract as a visual aid. Dr Lievens is soft spoken and very kind. Staff is amazing as well. Great team! I will gladly return as needed.

I have been seeing Dr Lievens for 10 years. I have never worked with a doctor who goes out of his way to spend the amount of time with his patients as Dr Lievens. He treats you like you are his only patient. He addresses all treatment options and ensures you understand the benefits/risks of each. I would highly recommend Dr Lievens to anyone who needs a GI specialist.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR, HE IS LOUD AND VERY RUDE. I was referred to him by my MD. MY wife went with me, he charged into the waiting room yelling all the way, "what are you doing here? Why are you here? My wife spoke up and said he was referred by Dr. Huser, he looked her up and down like a piece of trash and said "Really", well that's wrong, I DON'T SEE OTHER DOCTORS PATIENTS and with that he walked out of the room, slammed the door and left us sitting there. We could not believe what just happened, we sat there for a few minutes, then got up and walked out., as we walked by the receptionist, she looked up and said "Sorry"

Very caring people. They listen to me, the always call me back in a vert timely manner. Their office staff is wonderful. Dr. Lievens Nurse Practioner is awesome. Listens to me, examines me, is very responsive and caring. I highly recommend Kansas Gastroenterology.

I have been a patient of Dr Lievens for 10 years now. I have a rare issue and he has taken it on as if I was a family member of his. He is very caring and compassionate. I believe he puts his patient first and will do what ever it takes to find the answers they need.

During a procedure Dr. Lievens perforated my intestine. I complained about severe pain in recovery but was released without an exam. The delay in diagnoses almost cost me my life. I spent 28 days in the hospital, two major surgeries, a near death experience and now unemployable. I had to raid my 401K to pay medical bills. Very little follow up care. My first post op visit was spent having informed consent explained to me, no redress. What happened to me is just part of the overhead. After ten months the feeding tube is still in and the physical, professional, financial and spiritual destruction is now complete. Nobody is at fault. I rate my experience poor.
