Dr. Hussam Farhoud is an excellent Cardiologist. Students often train with Dr. Farhoud! The Heartland Cardiology facilities are excellent. The staff are professional and polite. I appreciate the great care I receive from Dr. Farhoud and the Heartland Cardiology staff.

I’ve highly recommended Heartland in the past because the cardiologists are spectacular, but my recent surprise bill has changed my mind. When I called the billing department to ask about the charges, the woman I talked to immediately took a harsh tone. She kept restating that it is my “legal responsibility” to meet my deductible, instead of answering why I hadn’t been informed, in advance, of the high cost of a 15 minute ultrasound (which I’d received as a last minute add on to a routine office visit). I tried my best to stay calm but she was rather rude and she ended up giving me one more reason not to return to Heartland. Fortunately, I have the funds to cover these superfluous charges, but it’s no wonder people ignore their chest pains and end up in the ER. At least the hospitals now have the “legal responsibility” to say how much things are going to cost beforehand.

My mother waited on hold for 4 hours to reschedule an appointment. They never did answer phone. Possibly because it was New years eve. You would think they could change their answer machine to relay that information if that was the case.

Dr. Ravi Bijaj, Cardiologist is an amazing man, brilliant Dr. Surgeon and caregiver. We met the Dr. 18 years ago while he cared for my husband's parents. Of course his outstanding bedside manor left us with a Cardiologist for life or as long as we both shall live :). Call Dr. Bijaj he will give you the same care he gives his own Mother.
