Andrea Brooks's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Brooks for my pregnancy with my 2nd daughter and she is just amazing. Her attention to detail and the way she treats her patients is what I remember most. Her professional approach with a kind touch makes her the perfect choice.

They have a “policy” where you pay your deductible to them up front for the delivery of your baby! I asked for them to explain to me how that was not insurance fraud to bill for a service that has not been rendered. I also explained how several things could happen in the next 6 months that would either cause me to meet my deductible or cause me not to deliver and therefore would not have to pay this fee. 2 financial advisor went sent in to talk to me! They told me it was global billing and to google it and that this was their policy. I have never heard of global billing and ask them to explain it to me. Google it was the response I got. I asked what cpt code was used to bill this $318 monthly fee and they couldn’t tell me. I asked how it applied to my deductible and they said it doesn’t til after the baby was born. I was told if I didn’t pay I could not see my doctor! After I spoke to my husband, I told them I would pay it and sign the paper for today even though I still felt like they had not fully explained to me how it wasn’t insurance fraud. They then told me my doctor did not want to see me because I was a hostile patient (mind you: I was not yelling, cursing or threatening in any way, I was sitting in my chair just waiting for a good explanation that was never given to me! I was stern with my belief but in no way hostile!!) I asked them to explain to me how I was being hostile and asked why would I be hostile towards my doctor when it the company’s policy. They went out and came back in saying I was dismissed from the practice and they would escort me out of the office. Which I replied now we are committing abandonment! Dismissing a pregnant woman for asking for an explanation on how a policy is not insurance fraud and refusing to pay/participate in insurance fraud! I left and called my insurance company who said that it could be insurance fraud if they didn’t pay me back any money that was over paid and who could properly explain to me the global billing that they couldn’t! No telling how long or hard it is to get money back from them. I have a friend who has been waiting over 6 months now to get her refund! I think it is a way for the company to get more money and get it before the hospital could bill their part of the delivery! Sounds like Graves Gilbert is money hungery and doesn’t really care for their patients or their unborn children!! My new doctor doesn’t bill anything til after the birth and you don’t pay until it is actually billed!! And my husband can go with me to my appointments! Which Graves Gilbert told me he couldn’t!!

From my personal experience, she actually listens to what you have to say and genuinely cares for the patient to get better. Remembers every little detail that’s not even on the chart.An amazing doctor!

Dr Brooks has delivered 2 of my babies now:) She was wonderful throughout both pregnancies and was very happy accommodate me with my requests during labor and delivery.

I found out I was pregnant the day before Halloween 2017 but unfortunately lost the pregnancy the week after Thanksgiving. I could not have asked for a better doctor. Her bedside manner was fantastic. She did a fantastic job of not making me feel abnormal all while validating my feelings. This whole experience has been awful, but Dr. Brooks made me feel so much better. I will definitely go back to dr. Brooks for my next pregnancy.

She delivered my son. She did an amazing job with me throughout my pregnancy. She has wonderful bedside manners and is a very caring doctor:)

Dr. Brooks is awesome! She cares about her patients, treats them well, and works for answers to their concerns!

She is very kind and friendly, but does not volunteer much information as to what I should be doing/not doing as a first time mother. It just means I do a lot of independent research and ask her questions when I see her.

Dr. Brooks informed me that she was only running a pap smear. I recieved my bill and noticed STI tests that I didn't request. I called billing and was informed the Dr. could do tests w/o my consent and was then forwarded to the office where I was at first told that I requested the tests. I denied that as I am in a monogamous relationship, I was later called back and told that as STI testing is recommended for women 18-25 Dr. Brooks felt that I shouldn't be informed of $192 in unneeded tests.
