Refuses to explain test results. I had specific questions in MyChart. Nurse said he would go over the test at my next visit - IN ONE YEAR!!! Unacceptable.
Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever seen! Never again will I see him!!!
Very rushed visit. He seemed confused and kept changing his mind.Hard to have confidence in him. Said he had to go in the middle of my question and left the room.
I left feeling so low and hurt. I went for a surgery clearance and was told I was never going to change I was going to be in and out of the doctor office the rest of my life. I have never had a doctor talk to me in such a manner. After I get all my test ran I will not be back I will find a new cardiologist if I need one.
Dr Z visited me in Hospital after an Afib attack. I have been seeing him and I could not get better care from any doctor. He listens and does not hurry. He is so caring and treats you like you are very important to him. Very unusual for a doctor in this day and age who treats you like a number. Mu daughter is very comfortable with him taking care of her 85 yr old Mother.
Kind of rude and burnt out.
I wish I could give this Dr a 0 star. My mother went with him for a routine check (she had been seen once before by him so I wasn't allowed to schedule an appt with anyone else). He "detected" some anomaly on a test performed and decided to prescribe an extreme dose of a medication. My mother besides his "found" new situation is healthy. After just a couple days of course since she did not in fact had anything she started feeling bad and having side effects from this unnecessary pill. She even had to go to the ER where the ER doctors where so confused as to why she was taking this pill, and as to why this doctor would prescribe such dose. Even the nurses at his own office were so confused on the dose prescribed. They could not find a reasoning for it. After a F/U with him after the ER visit he performed the same test again and shamelessly said the prescribed pill had fixed the issue after there was absolutely nothing wrong found on this new result (but still wants her to see a specialist because he is ignorant). If you want to be prescribed unnecessary meds, want to have health issues you did not have before, and want to spend money on visits when you are actually fine, want to be seen by a dr who seems no to have an idea of what to do, then go ahead and make an appt with him. Otherwise, stay away from this ignorant.
Best cardiologist I have had. Thoroughly explained everything and had a couple of tests done as a precaution, so that he could be sure that everything was okay.
I was impressed with the entire office. The staff was so nice and helpful. Dr. Zalkind listened to and addressed all my concerns. I went to see him because my primary care doctor was not listening to my concerns. To have someone listen and take action was so validating.
Dr zalkind is the best. !! I only want him taking care of me .!! He tells me like it is which I need too hear !!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
