List of Barry Wendt's Reviews
All my visits with Dr Wendt were professional, informative, and on time.
I love Dr Wendt and have had him as my PCM for three years. I would have given this office 5 stars but I can't seem to get simple things done thru them such as referrals placed correctly and in a timely manner. I am so frustrated right now.
Always friendly, helpful, professional and to the point. No excessive medications and prescriptions are ever offered.
I don’t believe I can find a better internal medicine Doctor on this side of the river. I trust Dr. Wendt implicitly.
The one time I was forced to meet with Dr. Wendt in order to continue receiving medical care at St. Elizabeth Internal Medicine was a horrible ordeal. At the time, it was understood that he was filling in ONCE for my regular doctor, who was out of the office temporarily due to illness. Most of my serious and long-standing chronic conditions were stable before meeting with him. (I am still NOT stable and suffering 3 months later) Literally in the first few moments of my visit, he declared that the medications I was on were incredibly excessive and, in his opinion, absolutely unnecessary. He was belligerant (My husband and I both thought he exhibited signs of a Napolean complex) and clearly expressed that keeping his medical license was more important than prescribing the medications necessary to manage my progressive and chronic conditions. Since then, St.E's Internal Medicine has allowed Dr. Wendt to drastically interfere with my medical treatment, causing an extremely dangerous situation with serious suffering for me, even though I had spoken to the office manager and insisted that he NOT have any involvement whatsoever in my future medical care.
Dr. Wendt is the most arrogant, least caring, most dangerous doctor I have ever seen. Although I realize every doctor has (and should have) a choice whether or not to prescribe opiods, Dr. Wendt does not even believe in pain medicine. He cannot fathom chronic pain: he believes it a myth & expresses ZERO empathy for patient suffering. Furthermore, he is unable to comprehend any kind of Chronic condition. He is wary of any serious medication, even if it has been a part of a patient's medical care for more than a decade. Without even knowing WHY you are on a particular medication, he will do everything in his power to cancel it. I found out first hand that he will do this even if he is just filling in (even ONCE) for your regular doctor! He might be capable of handling simple concerns like the sniffles, but I would stay very clear of him if you are truly ill.
Dr. Wendt is an excellent physician who listens to his patients concerns. He is an outstanding physician and I have tremendous confidence in him. I highly recommend him to anyone needing excellent medical care
Many thanks to Dr. Wendth for seeing me today when my doctor was unavailable and the office staff being so accommodating during my delimma. All were so kind and helpful. Wonderful and caring service!
Dr. Wendt is a great doctor. I have gone to him for years and he is one of the best doctors I've ever had. I am very fortunate to have him as my primary care physician.
Dr. Wendt is great. He always spends time making sure all my questions are answered and my needs are met. Never feel rushed and always take comfort in knowing that he always seems to know what's wrong!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
