Lindsay Pattison's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Patterson was a consult brought in during my hospitalization. She was disrespectful and failed to provide me care. She demanded a consultation with Psychiatry before giving me any care! I had a hemiplegic migraine which she ignored. A charge Nurse had to suggest ruling out an epileptic seizure for me. I would not recommend her to my dog!!! She’s loud and condescending!

My mother recently suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on Mother's Day and spent 6 days in ICU at St. E. For the next couple of weeks at home after the stroke, Mom kept having episodes of severe headaches, black-outs, dizziness and spiking high blood pressure. We went back to the ER several times, including one visit to the UC Hospital ER. We were told to follow-up with my mother's neurologist, Lindsey Pattison I called the office to make an appointment with "Dr". Pattison. I was told they would have to call me back to give the doctor a chance to review her tests and stroke history before they could schedule an appointment.. A few days later I received a call from her assistant saying that they didn't need to see my mother and that "Dr" Pattison had reviewed her medical tests and history and was going to prescribe a Prednisone step down treatment to help with headaches. Trusting in the good "Dr." I picked up the prescription and began administering to my mother the prescribed dosage. After the 2nd day of taking the Prednisone around 8pm, Mom started suffering with a debilitating headache and her blood pressure began spiking off the charts. We tried pain medication, laying on her left side, etc. After 3 hours of suffering, I called her home health nurse and was told to call the life squad. After 5 hours in the ER they determined it was the Prednisone that was causing the high blood pressure. Obviously, "Dr" Pattison did not do her homework in reviewing my mom's tests and history as she stated and I am lucky to have my mother still with me. I googled the side effects of Prednisone, at the top of the list HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. What the heck? My advice is, if you don't care about your loved ones, she's the neurologist for you! We will be going elsewhere.

I am so happy with Lindsay that I am writing a review only 10 minutes after speaking to her. I learned more in 15 minutes with Lindsay than I have in over 10 years with other doctors. For the longest time, I gave up on keeping a regular neurologist because my symptoms were discounted by other doctors, but every symptom I had, she was able to explain. For the issues that she can’t address, she is referring me to someone who can. She listened to me. She explained things. She didn’t make me feel like I was just an item on her checklist that she needed to get out of the way. Good and caring doctors are harder to come by nowadays, so it was encouraging to find someone like Lindsay

I highly recommend Dr. Pattison to anyone looking for a doctor who is willing to spend the time required by a patient and during that time will speak in an understanding and compassionate way using terminology a patient can understand. You will find her to be thorough and willing to discuss all of the possible treatment options.
