Dr Bertram and his staff are excellent people they treat you like somebody Dr Bertram is to the point and knows more about the human body than most doctors do

Negatives: I was seen for an EMG which was a brutally painful experience. His "bedside manner" leaves a lot to be desired. Listening is very sub-par. He asked a few questions, talked over me while I was answering & raised his voice when that did not stop me from continuing to answer his questions. Positive: It seems he found some level of compassion when he noticed me quietly crying in pain during the test. I appreciated the improvement. Also, in my opinion, unless it interferes with the EMG test results, at least twilight anesthesia should be used to avoid the cruelty of this test.

Dr. Bertram ranks second least professional doctor I've ever encountered. He spends more time speaking at you rather than gathering information about your disability or injury. When you try to explain your situation he becomes combative and unwilling to listen. He gave me the impression he was motivated to hurt me. To explain further, due to the change of my insurance the Christ Hospital and Riverhills Neurology is no longer a covered option. Both facilities placed me on disability due to my injuries a year ago. St. Elizabeth is the only covered option in the area. After a brief physical assessment and no medical records from Christ Hospital or Riverhills Neurology he stated he believed my issue is my SI joint. I inquired about the protocol in which he explained vitamin d, magnesium, and coq10 were going to be the fix all. This injury occured from an auto accident and has left me with the inability to walk or take care of myself for over a year now.

First and foremost this review does not reflect the front desk or nursing staff. Both were extremely courteous, empathetic, and professional. Dr. Bertram was one of the kindest and really listened to me. He never made me feel like I was making anything up. He helped me for years. The so called doctor that took over his practice in OH is a joke. The only time you see him is if you are getting nerve block injections. He runs around the office all day wearing scrubs, like he is a surgeon. He almost crippled me. When I screamed he still didn't stop. I never even screamed during labor. Wish Dr. Bertram never left. My life has never been this bad. Pain is so bad now I cry everyday.

Dr. Bertram used Prolotherapy on my lower back for a work related injury I had been dealing with for years. I can't sing his praises enough! This procedure was done right in the office, no surgery and no down time. I will refer people to him for the rest of my life.

Dr Bertram offered non surgical alternatives which provided healing of my shoulder without an 8 month post operative downtime. This allowed me to continue working and save sick leave! He was thorough, knowledgeable, and to the point.

Dr. Bertram was very informative and understanding. His procedure helped tremendously. I feel blessed he located in my community.

When I refused his experimentmental injection that insurance doesn't cover!! He said I failed my urine test which is a complete lie..my cough syrup for my copd that he absolutely knew about was in my lab results.I'm reporting him to the medical board!!!!
