List of Steven Bailey's Reviews
Dr Bailey performed a laminectomy in 2008 on my lumbar. He recommended this surgery for pain in my lumbar and pain in leg. After surgery I have been able to run, play golf and enjoy my grandkids now for 14 years. Recently I had a brain scan and and was diagnosed with herniated disc in my cervical. Dr Bailey performed anterior cervical discentomy and fusion in November and this surgery restored feeling in my hands and shoulder. I highly recommend Dr Bailey as a neurosurgeon who is caring and highly professional.
Excellent Neurosurgeon!!!!
Dr. Steven Bailey is an amazing neurosurgeon. From the consultation through healing, he is one of the best. His support team is top notch as well. From the time I went in for surgury to recovery, everyone was awesome.Sincerely,Richard P.
Dr. Bailey has a solid reputation among those anchored within the medical community. He and Mayfield staff were referred to me based on my medical needs. I have had one prior surgery and not one based on spinal issues. Dr. Bailey and his staff left me feeling confident about the care I'd receive and I have no regrets along the way. In fact; he made it seem easier than conversations I'd had with others during diagnosis. I am proud to be his patient.
I was so lucky to find Dr Bailey. I was visiting from out of town and urgently needed an unplanned back surgery. Dr Bailey did a perfect job with me. He is a great surgeon and a kind human being. He went out of his way to help me. If you are in need of a neurosurgeon, he is a great choice. Maybe my sharing this will help someone else feel safe about choosing Dr Bailey. I know I trust him 100% and can’t thank him enough for relieving my pain and taking such great care of me. Also, his supporting staff are AMAZING. All in all, a real blessing to have him as my back surgeon.
Dr Bailey and his office did everything imaginable to take care of me when I was admitted to the ER with an extruded lumbar disc. He is a wonderful surgeon and a kind person. He took plenty of time to discuss the procedure and answer questions. He is expert in his field and inspires confidence and this helped me to feel secure. I am so grateful to Dr Bailey and his team.
Dr Bailey recently performed back surgery on me and I feel blessed to have been under his care. He’s a tremendously skilled surgeon and a kind person. I recommend him 100%. If you are trying to choose a neurosurgeon, you can’t go wrong with Dr Bailey. I am so grateful to him and his staff!
I first saw Dr Bailey in June 2021 for a brain disorder. (Chiari Malformation.) He listened to every symptom I had and let me know that each symptom I was having was associated with my diagnosis. He was very nice and LISTENED. (I had saw another Neurosurgeon somewhere else that brushed me off and would not listen). Dr. Bailey was also very confident and knowledgeable about my condition that is somewhat “rare.” He took time to let me know in detail about the surgery. He also was confident in making the decision that we should proceed with surgery as soon as possible. I had surgery July 2021 with Dr. Bailey and I am beyond proud that I picked him to be my neurosurgeon. He also checked in every morning while I was in the hospital. He is a nice and confident Dr that I would refer anyone to.

I saw him once in march 2020 (just before the Covid-19 Shut down) for a rare brain disorder. I knew going in that I needed brain surgery. He took the time to explain coming throw the door that he was waiting for a phone call??? He then explain what I already knew. He was dismissive of the only other question I was able to ask without really considering it. Then left in the middle of the appointment for his phone call without really answering any more questions. He was quite dismissive of me as a person and as a patient. That phone call seemed to be so much more important!!When Covid 19 shut down began. I called the office for advice with regards to my limitations, and more specifically what to look for in the way of my condition getting worse. I was told there was nothing I could do and there wasn't any precautions or limitations. I told them I have a small farm and in spring there's a lot of clean up. Should I avoid lifting too much. I was again told NO LIMITATIONS!They would not tell me anything to avoid. any precautions to take or any symptoms to watch for.I would expect that a doctor show at least a bit of "Rehearsed" compassion and understanding in his line of work. I saw none. I wasn't expecting my mother. Just a doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
