List of John Allahham's Reviews
Within minutes of walking in his door for my first visit, he asked me did you know what happened today? I said no he goes to Pope died. He goes. You don’t watch the news. I said no and then proceeded to talk to me rude cause I didn’t know the pope died. And then said tome that I do not have ADHD, but then prescribed me ADHD medicine to manage my anxiety disorder and quickly within The two weeks of taking it. I slipped into very steep depression called his office talked to the nurse, the nurse put in an urgent note that I was concerned of how I was feeling never returned my call. I quickly called. My doctor told her what’s going on. She told me to stop taking the medicine and I told her I did not feel Good about this doctor and told her to referral me to someone else not knowing that my doctor visit was with him to do a follow up after weeks and as of walking in, he yelled at me saying that I do not have ADHD without even asking me any questions in the first place and then put on my records that I am a substance abuser when I’ve never had that in my entire life, I do not recommend this man to anyone at all.
Within of me walking into his office for my first visit he asked me do you know what happened today and I quickly answered him. No he goes. The Pope died and I was like OK he’s like you don’t watch the news. I said no and then proceeded to tell me well you do not have ADHD. You have anxiety and that’s it, but then proceeded to prescribe me ADHD medicine and within the two weeks of taking it I got severe depression and called the office and told him that I did not feel safe taking the medicine anymore. she put an urgent that he needs to call me. He never called on me. I ended up calling my doctor and telling her what’s going on and she told me not to take the medicine no more and then I did not feel comfortable talking to him to schedule me with someone else not knowing that my follow up appointment was him and him yelling at me telling me that I do not have ADHD when he didn’t even ask me the right questions and then put that I was a substance abuser on my records when I’ve never have had that in my entire life
Really knowledgeable with anxiety and depression He’s been the best dr I’ve seen for my anxiety and depression
Literally the worst “dr” I have ever seen in my life. Made me cold turkey around five medications all at once. Woke up soaked in sweat with my heart beating so hard and fast I felt like I was dying. He was incredibly condescending and honestly mean. Told me I wasn’t really suicidal because I have no scars visible so I guess I needed to be in death’s door physically for him to consider it valid enough. Diagnosed me with borderline personality disorder for crying after he was mean to me. The most unprofessional, mean, and honestly not even good with medicine doctor I’ve ever seen. He needs his license revoked.
The most rudest doctor you will ever go to. Stay away.
Dr. Allahham is leaving Vanderbilt thank God. I was switched to Him because I am 70 and have been complaining ever since. He changed my meds that I have been on for 20 years and has wrecked my mental health. It is difficult to find a new psychiatrist that takes Medicare. I think Vanderbilt is setting me up with a new doctor.
I attended a first time visit with this “medical person” and had one of the most horrific experiences I could imagine. I was on several medication’s for anxiety and or depression. (This “physician” has two offices, one in Kentucky, but his main office is at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The goal of my appointment was to wean me off slowly, one at a time, of my 5 medication’s. What happened? He reduced each of my medication‘s dosages all at one time. In addition, he took me totally off one of the medication’s that, from all indications, produced severe withdrawals because of the manner in which it was done. A 20 minute visit with him, turned in to a very bad experience. he and my opinion, should definitely not be practicing medicine if that is his MO.
Waste of money Haven’t been diagnosed with the other doctors moving into Tennessee. I was forced to see a psychiatrist for medicine refill Dr Allahham Seem very uncaring no understanding no empathy claims he knows my psychiatric visiting over video appointment. I do not recommend him at all.
Here in Tennessee I was referred to psychiatrist to receive ADHD medicine For a psychiatrist has to prescribe it met on a video chat. He claims he knows my medical history and even though I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD two doctors in Utah in Wyoming he claims I do not have it. He could tell my video chat history. Finding the reviews sounds like everyone’s has issues with him. It’s unfair the way I was treated, and he informed me that he cannot prescribe over the telehealth. It was a complete waste of time and money for me.
The worst psychiatrist I have ever spoken to Dr. Allahham lived up to all the negative reviews he has received already.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
