I normally don’t write reviews but after getting a text asking to write a review of “the excellent service” Dr. Hoblitzell gave me after getting the what I would call the laziest and rudest service ever, I was newly motivated to write a review. I came in on a Saturday for an emergency knee situation. I had been moving when all of a sudden I felt a horrific tearing sensation in the back of my knee and was unable to move. After hobbling to OrthoCincy’s urgent care, I waited for 2.5 hours to see Dr. H and he spent FOUR MINUTES in the office with me and didn’t even physically examine my knee. Told me x-ray said it was arthritis. I, as someone with Rheumatoid Arthritis and who is in active PT for said arthritis, informed him this was not arthritis pain; it’s not in the joints area. He asked me if I ever considered losing weight… I luckily got into my normal doctor on Tuesday who informed me I have torn ligaments in my knee. She was horrified at the care I received at OrthoCincy and said should could see something was wrong from just a quick physical exam based on how swollen it was, physically hot to the touch, and where the pain was. It was no where NEAR the joint. We now have an active treatment plan in place and am grateful to her and my PT (who also scoffed at the treatment I received). Dr. Hoblitzell made it very clear he wanted nothing to do with me and only wanted to blame my pain on my weight. 10/10 could never recommend but especially to any patient who has the audacity to not be in a thin body. Apparently fat patients don’t deserve basic care or respect in his eyes.

Called orthocincy to schedule an appt w a surgeon for knee replacement. They scheduled me w Dr. Hoblitzell who informs me he does not perform that surgery. He wanted to give me a cortisone injection and some Meloxicam and get me out of the office asap. I told him I had just had a cortisone injection like 3 weeks or so ago but I don't think he was listening. He had his own agenda. Although he was very nice, he did nothing for me. After he left, his assistant tried to schedule me for another orthocincy doc but when I asked her where that doc did his surgery, she did not know. I left because I did not want to go to an organization where the docs give you things u do not need and they don't know who or where their surgeons even do surgery.

I went in for both of my knees I have one that was a knee replacement done by Dr. Hummel. I have a big indention in my knee so I’m waiting for dr. Hoblitzel to let me know I will get a gel shot in my right knee give me a gel shot in my left knee and I’m supposed to see Dr. Hummel to see what they’re going to do about, my right knee I always did like Dr Hoblitze l he is an excellent doctor, very attentive, and he is a good doctor you can tell that he cares about his patience

I have trust in Dr Hoblitzel with my orthopedic health. I had several issues over the years, in which Dr.Hoblitzel ordered test including xray mri,emg and physical therapy. His office staff are warm and inviting.
