Dr. Chan is a great doctor, I recommend her as your kids pediatrician

Dr. Chan is by far the best Doctor I’ve ever experienced and I’m elated that she treats my son. I had a different doctor lined up before he was born but when she came to check him while we were in the hospital, I knew I wanted to see her. She is so kind and thorough, communicative and takes her time, which is so hard to find these days. She listens, provides advice, explanations and hands on help. She helps to problem solve and talk things through. Dr Chan is so great with how she handles my son and even remembers us. She took her time to help me with nursing him when I had trouble and really increased my confidence as a breastfeeding mother. Dr. Chan is incredible and I highly, highly recommend her for all parents, first time and experienced.

An absolute joy. She has the first doctor I’ve ever had that doesn’t make me feel like she can’t wait to get out of there. She is informative, let’s me know what she’s doing when she checks my babies do I feel more equipped as a mom. She has even held her and calmed her for me after seeing me a little overwhelmed in such gracious way. She remembers my little ones even though she probably takes care of so many kids I wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t, however, it makes me feel very special and taken care of. She is the best.

She is the absolute best around! My daughter is a mother at a young age and Dr. Chan always gives her praise and makes her feel comfortable.

4 boys and 27 years in, I’ve never experienced a Doctor as amazing as Dr. Chan. Never do we feel rushed, or as if we are just another patient. It’s almost like she’s a friend of the family and knows my children on a personal level. I don’t know how many patients she sees, but I’m sure her schedule is full, would we know that? Absolutely not, because she spends all the time you need with her to be confident your child is seen and heard. Not just the parents, but the patient as well. I would recommend her to anyone and at times I wonder how we were blessed enough to come across her. I would give her ten stars if I could.

Took my granddaughter to see Dr. Chan. She immediately knew she had the croup. She made me, the mother and baby feel very comfortable and at ease. She explained the diagnosis very well. She even told the mother she could stay around for awhile if she still felt uneasy with her breathing. After a steroid treatment the baby seems much better. Thanks doc

We've seen most of pedriatrians at St. Elizabeth Pedriatrics, however, our 2 favorites weren't in to check my daughters ears. The only one available, who we've never seen before was Dr. Chan. Our 12 mont had dark reddish drainage come out of one ear, we were afraid it was another ear infection. Dr. Chan checked her ears, said her ears were find and suggested that what I saw was "WAX!" I said it was a dark reddish drainage, she insisted it was wax. She also charged us as a level 3 visit, other doctor had changed us for level 2 visit with an ear infection diagnostic and 2 prescriptions (this visit took way longer). We waited 1 hour for her 1 minute consultation and ended up paying twice as much. Awful!

All 3 of my children (ages 11months, 8, 10) have been seeing Dr. Chan since she joined the pediatricians office in KY last year. She is absolutely the best! Takes the time to discuss concerns and explains everything thoroughly. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Dr. Chan has been both of my daughters pediatrician since birth. Their ages 7 & 13 now. She trust her wholeheartedly. She's amazing!!

This is by far the worst pediatrician I have ever taken my son to. We went to see her to establish care and to obtain help/referrals for my son's autism. She really should have gone into counseling instead of pediatrics because the ENTIRE visit she counseled my son about his picky eating and told him that if doesn't eat what his parents tell him to then he won't get to buy the things he wants, it sounded very elementary and uneducated. My son was under the care of a psychiatrist before we moved to Georgia this year and I asked Dr.Chan about a referral to a psych, her only response was that her "Kaiser psych group" does not accept my son's insurance. She told me to research and find my own psych. How useless. Also, The nurse named Arnetta was beyond awful and it's difficult for me to believe that she is actually an LPN and not a MA!! She had the audacity to ask me what autism spectrum disorder was when obtaining his medical history. She seriously did not understand how to chart my son's history because she did not comprehend what the word spectrum meant. Overall this was an awful experience and I do not reccomend the Kaiser pediatric group at southwood to anyone. To schedule an appointment you have to call a 1800 number and there is no way for you to EVER reach anyone located at the actual office..
