List of Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital's Reviews
This was my first time with gateway rehabilitation center and was taken care of beyond my expectations. I broke my neck in auto crash. The staff treated me with great dignity, always helpful, always encouraging me. Dr. Mook, Dr Becki, thank you. Thank you staff.
Gateway was outstanding to my wife. She has extreme difficulty walking and even moving, and the staff was outstanding. To a person the nurses were very caring and helpful and patient with her. The PT and OT and ST were all engaged and did a wonderful job working with her. She still has a ways to go, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place as their facilities were more than capable of handling the vast issues these people need and the staff were experienced and there for you as needed.
My dad was a patient recently at Gateway for almost 2 weeks. He had such a good experience from Admission (Sara) to Sam who answered all our questions from the nurses to to therapists and everyone in between to discharge. My dad couldn’t say enough good things. I would highly recommend this facility and thank you for taking such good care of my dad!
I suffered some awful circulation problems in my lower right leg. My first trip to rehab was to try and regain blood flow and encourage healing from the surgeries. This inpatient care was for about 10 days. Unfortunately, my leg circulation did not respond and almost 60 days after the initial surgery, the necessary course of action was an above the knee amputation. After a brief hospital stay, I once again returned to Gateway to rehab and learn to take care of myself with this new situation. I was well cared for with OT and PT as I learned to function in a different way. Nursing staff and doctor Mook were caring and helped me enormously in learning to handle this new normal. This goes back almost 18 months now. They connected me to a wonderful place that made me a prosthesis. I worked withTony Ward at Durretts’s Prosthetic and he is very good at his job. He got me started on working with a prosthetic leg. I then returned to Gateway as an outpatient working primarily 2 days a week. This continued for over 10 months. I worked with a very talented and dedicated PT named Laura Sefton who became a friend as well as a healer. She showed me and trained me in strength development and balance as I learned how to deal with this new normal. I am blessed to have a loving family and strong faith in God that helped see me through some dark times. I was also blessed by the care and training that I learned and received from Gateway and their staff. Gateway was top notch and I would highly recommend this place to aid in healing and to receive excellent care.
My family member is there now so I will refrain from the in-depth review until they leave but the director of this place is horrid.
This is the most awful place. My husband spent three weeks there. He made no progress. He was left in soiled diapers for three hours before an aide or nurse came to change him. After being told what pain medicine affected him. They still gave it to him every six hours. This way he didn't bother them he was knocked out. He was given a wheel chair for a much shorter man. He was to tall for the chair and the bed. They would not get him a larger one.I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. It is like being in a prison. You can't leave your room, go to a table to eat lunch, or even go out the front door.I wouldn't let my dog go there, let alone any human being. The staff is rude and very uncaring. They can't even give medicine to patients when required.
From the first moment when Jen came to the hospital to answer questions, to the last when Lynne checked us out, the staff gets a gold star. PT/OT required hard but necessary work which was done with compassion and laughter. Kerri and Brooke are amazing. They matched their plan with my husband's abilities and prepared us to be home. Nursing team, Tara, Nehemie, Angela and Amy were attentive, kind and took the time to get to know George. No doubt they are super busy, but we always felt our concerns were addressed. Miss Joan is a friendly member of the team who quietly goes about her job of keeping everyone's rooms spotless. If you have the choice, go to Gateway it is a wonderful place to heal and prepare for going home!
Top notch team. Very professional and courteous staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for therapy.
My mom just spent 10 days in this facility and I was not impressed therapist and day nurses were great. The care at night is subpar leaving my mom to wait up to 45 minutes to be put back in bed after using the restroom. The front desk is rude and talk down to you and act like you're trying to break into a maximum security penitentiary except for one older lady to act like she really cared about helping you.Her caseworker didn't keep me informed and there were three different times she asked me to be there at a certain time and never showed up for the meetings and kept me waiting as high as two and a half hours to see if someone was going to talk to us, it even happened today when she was released we were supposed to talk to a doctor the doctor never showed up and she waited two and a half hours almost to get out of that place so no I would not recommend this facility to anyone if you're thinking of taking a love one there or having them sent there don't, your family member would probably get better care if you send them to a kennel
I spend 2 weeks at Gateway i couldn't walk when i went in and was walking with a walker in only 4 days....The staff and OT and PT were amazing I recommend them to anyone who needs therapy and Dr. Mook listened and explained everything so you understood what and why medicine was given to you....

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
