List of John Craddock's Reviews
There are not enough words for Dr Craddock who found my daughter heart defect at 28 weeks which gave us the ability to have our daughter at a hospital that could save her life. As her heart doctor said most obgyn miss this defect so I am forever grateful for dr Craddock for finding her issue and getting us into the right hands to get our daughter here safely!
He knows what he’s talking about but doesn’t seem like he cares enough. I had my baby at 32 weeks 7 weeks premature. He was there long enough to grab my baby hand him off to the nurse checked if I tore and left. No congratulations, good job, didn’t even check up on me postpartum other OBGYN Dr. Checked. I didn’t feel as if he cared enough about me as a patient.
Excellent Dr
Dr was great. Dont let "Tammy" be the one in charge of planning your surgery though. She dont give full detail. Then wanted to call me a liar when I say I wasn't told I had to somewhere else for 1 test. So now I'm having to get my surgery somewhere else!
I absolutely love him he was my dr for both of my pregnancies and I couldn’t have asked for a better dr. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Craddock.
9 years ago I was a patient of Midwife Nellie Bell, she did not see me up properly after the birth of my son. It seemed the nurses knew something was up, they kept asking me if I was okay if I felt faint. In hindsight it seemed like they were keeping me in the dark about something. I then had to see Craddock and he did not do proper research into my problem that Bell (a midwife) originally caused, it turned into a rectovaginal fistula after his destructive surgery that he was paid for. I told him I was having gas come out other parts of my body. He didn't do a dye test or anything. They both seemed to brush us off like we were just kids, we were 25 and adults having our first child. He just looked at me for a minute then the next visit didn't look at me at all, just said you need an episiotomy correction. WRONG! I almost had to have a colostomy bag after he was done with me only I finally found a Dr. worthy of being called a Dr (my colorectal surgeon) that helped me avoid the colostomy bag. Craddock's nurse was a joke, didn't have compassion when I called... after Craddock told my husband it was going to be a 10 minute surgery that ended up being much much longer. She said and yes I remember, didn't you call yesterday?! Yes, because I have something happening to my body, just look up rectovaginal fistula. I went to see Craddock, he stood up in shock and said it's all broken apart, it's all broken apart. I had to go through so much physically and tried to file a lawsuit. His office would not hand over the files to my attorney for sometime, once the lawyer looked at them she said ultimately she couldn't take the case because I was repaired by my Colorectal surgeon she wasn't willing to the risk. Had I not be repaired she would have. Her third party Dr. (Neutral opinion) said I did not receive proper care and this could have been avoided. I had to go through 2 more surgeries with little confidence I'd ever be repaired, that I had to pay for and suffer physically for over a year. I would avoid Craddock, Bell. I wanted the suit to pay for my additional unnecessary, not my fault, surgeries. One of the surgeries left me bed ridden for two weeks with a catheter and I was not to move a lot so the muscles could heal. It was a painful journey and I couldn't carry my son for months following so my muscles could heal. I couldn't sit or walk for most of it. I had to have scheduled c-sections going forward or it would all happen again. The feeling I got from the staff was oh well stuff like this happens..oops. The nurse from earlier was laughing and carrying on after my appointment.. where I was infected and was physically destroyed in my private area. The dr Craddock referred me to had to separate my week old incision due to all the infection, he did not numb it and didn't tell me he was going to do it. I have never screamed that loud in person. Sorry for tmi.. once he did the build up spilled out on the floor. My husband and I sat crying together. This was devastating to go through all the while I had a new 4 month old by now that I couldn't take full care of. I will say Bell called me after my surgery one day to ask about me which was nice, but she always treated my husband and I like kids having a baby. I told her I didn't want a episiotomy and she did it anyway. She didnt take me seriously as an adult woman. I still struggle with the mental side effects this caused all these years later. I am a member of fb groups with other women facing the same struggles and let me tell you this is not a light matter. Once again look up rectovaginal fistula and you'll see why. There are many women mentally struggling and ashamed of speaking up. This shouldn't happen to anyone.
Dr. Craddock is the absolute best! I delivered healthy twins and he was wonderful from appointment 1. He is patient, so kind, and genuinely cares for his patients. Wonderful experience.
Theirs no words for this man! He is the best God giving doctor I’ve ever seen! He was nothing but amazing through my whole pregnancy and my emergency C-Section. He truly cares about you & you’re not just a “patient”. He saved me and my son and I thank God everyday I had this man by me through it all! I’ll never go to another Gynecologist. I could go on and on about all the things that makes him so great but I’ll just say he’s truly an amazing man!!!!
Would never recommend this dr to anyone. He almost let my daughter die after a supposedly simple surgery. She contracted septis and MSRA while at the hospital. He didn't run any test on her at all. Just told her she'd get better. Her father ordered her to be moved to another hospital after 2 other drs came n because Craddock didn't come in one morning. They moved her to U of L where she was put into ICU. Next morning she went into respiratory failure and had to be put on a ventilator. Had emergency surgery then the next morning they said she was in septic shock and didn't know if she would make it and had to undergo another emergency surgery. U of L saved my daughters life. If it had been up to Dr. Craddock she would have died had she been left in his care.
Dr. Craddock is a terrific doctor & person! He truly cares about his patients & takes the time to get to know you. His nurse Shannon is absolutely wonderful as well. Carrying and having a baby is no easy task, but they both make it very enjoyable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
