Patrick Klapheke's Online Review Report Card

My name is Michelle Ennis and I recently had surgery removing left side of thyroid and attached 2 nodules which consist of cancer bye Dr. Klapheke. And he did an amazing job, clean cut (I mean it’s right in plane sight my scar, right on the neck and you can’t even tell it at all and he had to cut me good), and he is also caring. He first told me he wasn’t going to admit me to the hospital but he changed his mind the day he did my surgery. He was concerned with me hurting too badly and me voice so he kept me to monitor me. Than after I was clear bye him he saw me in the hospital sitting in a room and he turned around came back sit and talked with me, checked on me. He answered all my questions. I have nothing bad to say about this surgeon I really appreciate him. Thanks

I have recently relocated to Southern Kentucky after living in the northeast most of my life. Recently I had a surgery at TJ Samson. I have a complex medical history and had considered transfer to a “bigger” hospital. Dr. K saw me before surgery. He told me exactly what he planned to do. Then he did something no one else had offered to do. He offered to help me transfer. He said “I can do your operation here and keep it easy for you and your family but I want you to do what is best for you.” I felt so much confidence at that point. I had my surgery. My family was at my bedside for the 5 days I was there. I can’t say enough good things about Dr K.

I am bruised from my chin to my chest and don’t have any pain medication to control the pain! He wrote a prescription for medication that I already take for a car wreck and surgeries I’ve had in the past. Since it was the same medication.. dosage and all, then it was pretty much null and void. Pharmacy explained the to him. I called the patient advocate there at the hospital and they haven’t returned my call yet. The house supervisor told me that they couldn’t make him prescribe medication either! No one should have surgery and be sent home with a prescription that can’t be filled and be in this much pain. To top it off.. he wouldn’t speak to me after the surgery. I don’t even know how my surgery went.. I won’t ever have another surgery done at TJ Sampson hospital or have Dr. William P Klapheke do any kind of surgery on me or my family members. A doctor is supposed to be caring and keep their patients comfortable so they can go through the healing process. I wouldn’t recommend this surgeon or hospital to anyone.

My name is Judith and I was just recently operated on by Dr Klapheke from suffering from a necrotic gall bladder. I have nothing but ABSOLUTELY wonderful things to say about him and his work as he was very professional, precise and punctual. He saved my life and instilled my trust again in the health field for this area. His skills were above and beyond given my health issues (my age, obesity, scarring, issues from prior surgeries) and I truly cant say enough good things, he was marvelous.

I'm 32 years old, I've seen more then 20 different general surgeons.. That last comment about him play no attention to it.. Just had an appointment with him today. He's the strong headed type , he was super nice and friendly. Before he did my test, he wanted to get my medical records from a old Doctor. To make sure he don't miss that they already fixed.. Which saids a lot on his part.... He answered all my questions, wasn't in a rush.. Took his time... I'm guessing the person that commented the negative one, was looking for pain or something he didn't want to do...

Dr Klapheke was very helpful. i had been in pain for some time and when others had told me i had to come up with $500 before they would even think about doing my surgery dr k said he would be glad to help. glasgow is lucky to have him
