I beg anyone that is currently hoping that there may be a little hope
I absolutely love brianna smith, she’s so smart and very understanding of your situation. She gives great strategies to help get to your goal in therapy and she’ll be honest with you. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
My son started w/ Nunn Psychiatric (NP) 17 mo's ago due to new behavior issues. He went to 3 different pscyh offices for evals; resulted in diagnoses of insomnia, ADHD, anxiety, depression. Side note: we now know his behavior was affected by meds he took for esophageal & endocrine disorders at the time. So he needed a provider for sleep & ADHD meds & we found NP. At first, Amy seemed to care & even gave me her cell# in case I needed anything. In 17 months, 9 instances he needed refills but despite me requesting them nothing was taken care of. I would have to call the office to verbally request it again & often had to text Amy. I have documentation of every incident. We were always compliant w/ appt's & bills. The need to text Amy to request refills got worse. Over time office staff became unfriendly. In addition, they introduced a new messaging app but wouldn't always respond. Back to 6 weeks ago. My son started a new immunotherapy for his esophageal disorder. By now he was only on 2 meds for sleep (no longer had symptoms of ADHD / behavioral). His goal was to come off sleep meds by next school year & we established care with a sleep specialist in Cinci (GI specialist is in Cinci) to help him get back into a sleep routine. Regarding the immuno injection, we were told side effects are rare. After the 3rd injection my son developed swollen lymph nodes (abdominal & lung), shortness of breath & painful breathing, lab inflammatory markers were high (CRP, sed rate), & fatigue. His local pediatrician wanted Cinci to own it because they couldn't determine the cause- Cinci kept denying the immuno inj was the cause. In the next 3-4 weeks he went through multiple tests. Since Cinci was taking care of it, when test availability opened up I would leave work quickly, go home to get him (he couldn't go to school), drive to Cinci, complete the tests, & drive home. We went back & forth at least 4 times (2.5 hour drive 1 way). Potential diagnoses: rheumatoid arthritis, histoplasmosis, lymphoma / leukemia. He had: endoscopies, ultrasounds, Xrays, CT's, tons of labs- labs kept climbing indicating something wrong w/ his immune system but imaging was negative. Physical symptoms persisted & worsened. Week 4 (he had missed 3 weeks of school) he finally started to get better, labs started improving, & he was able to go back to school. Also I had been overwhelmed at work for 2 years- finally a staff member was hired to help me, but I had to train them w/ no prior experience & play catch up for off time. Then my son realized he almost out of sleep meds. I requested refills on the Walgreens app- it indicated the prescriber had to send in more refills. 2 days went by & no communication. I was able to call NP to check on it- they explained he needed to schedule a follow up. I made an appointment w/ NP over the phone but later that evening realized it was the same day/time he had another appt. I called & left a message after hours that I needed to change the appt. I received a message next morning in the app requesting to call office, but I could not call that day. I messaged back giving several dates & times that worked for us over the next couple of weeks- the response: "you have to call the office to schedule". I called that evening (when I could, after hours) & left a voice mail explaining: 1.my son was almost out of meds 2. this was unacceptable 3. I was trying to schedule a follow up in the app but staff wouldn't allow it. 2 more days went by & no communication. Day 6, no updates in the Walgreens app so I went into Walgreens- they told me nothing had been called in. I tried to call NP office- not there on Fridays. I resorted to texting Amy begging for her to call in the refills. She responded with "I sent it Wednesday"- clearly she didn't. At this point he missed school that day (a Friday) because he had gone 2 days w/ no sleep. I then tried to explain the situation to Amy via text & why we forgot to schedule a f/u, but that I had been trying to schedule it. She responded that she is "doing us a favor" by calling in the meds & that I need to find another provider for him because "my standards are too high". I went back to Walgreens & still nothing- I tried to let Amy know again & she texted "I'm blocking you". Today they emailed his letter of dismissal from the practice. If you or your loved one needs a provider for med management, please go elsewhere. Everything changed when I made 1 mistake: I forgot to schedule his routine f/u although I attempted to schedule it. I can't imagine telling patients their scripts were called in when they weren't. Amy ended up calling in 1 med that night, but his new sleep specialist called in both meds today. The irony of being gaslighted by saying " your standards are too high", when refilling medications should be basic practices for patients with a history of good compliance. It's obvious that their standards are "no mercy".
Tonya takes time to listen and gives you the best advice . She takes the time to explain her diagnosis and the med.options . She makes sure to go over the possible side effects and what to do if I have any . She makes me feel comfortable speaking with her and I trust her..
I had no issues with the provider, but the receptionist (Jennifer) is by far one of most unprofessional, rudest peope I have had the displeasure of speaking to in a "therapy" setting. I strongly DO NOT recommend dealing with this practice unless you're ok with being talked down to and talked over. She also bashed the provider I normally see. I do plan on reporting them :) ETA: i did not belittle, cuss, or yell at anyone until was disrespected and talked down to. Even then, I didn't cuss. You can see other reviews here saying the exact same thing. It's a shame, Tonya and the other providers deserve better. And again, ma'am, have the day you deserve.
Very personable Thorough Listens to patient
Nunn psychiatric is a wonderful place and the staff are amazing. I have seen Mrs. Nunn and Mrs Bosley and both are amazing practitioners that have a plethora of knowledge. On top of their professionalism and knowledge base, they care for their clients wellbeing and work collaboratively with each client to find the best plan of action. As a mental health professional, I highly recommend them and the practice.
I don't even know where to begin. After being given a diagnosis of a retinal disease last year, I spiraled into a depression that was by far the worst one of my life. My husband researched doctors and found Amy. Even though I had a psychiatrist, and was taking several meds, I was getting worse. Amy agreed to see me. She ordered a gene site analysis test as I had never had this done. Let me tell you! This was a game changer! The results showed that I was taking high doses of the wrong antidepressants. After changing my meds, gradually of course, things began to change for me. My eyesight will never be the same, but now I am functioning like I was before my diagnosis. I cannot even believe the difference this made. I'm forever thankful to Amy Nunn. I feel like she saved my life.
My first appointment was with Natashia. I was expecting it to be hard to connect with her since we weren’t face to face but that was definitely not the case. She’s very personable and easy to open up to. She doesn’t ask specific, uncomfortable questions then stare at you waiting for an answer like mental health providers I’ve seen in the past but I sure was blabbering away about everything going on in my life and she sure was listening and listening without judgement. When it came time to discuss my treatment plan she explained the medication she thought would help, and why she thought it would help along with any risks/side effects then asked me my opinion on the treatment plan. Most doctors just throw a prescription at you and you kind of figure it out yourself but she didn’t do that. She also made it clear that I had other options if I wanted to discuss those. I really just can’t say enough good things about how easy she was to talk to and how good it was to actively participate in my treatment plan. 100% recommend her
Tonya has saved my life and listened to me to give me the best possible care possible!! She is truly amazing

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
