List of MIchelle Leathers's Reviews
Self absorbed, egotistical, does not LISEN to patient needs.
She is very nice and professional.
I was present at my appointment 15 minutes before scheduled. I waited an hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time and could not get an explanation from any staff member why I have yet to see the doctor and when I was going to see her. I left with out anyone apologizing for my inconvenience but then saying that Dr. Leathers has overbooked herself and is very behind schedule. That is not my fault and I was assigned this doctor by my insurance. I called said insurance and demanded a new Dr.
She has always been straight and honest with me. I trust
Dr. Leathers is the absolute worst. I would rate a negative star if that was an option. My mother, a cancer patient, was recently diagnosed AGAIN, and is awaiting a follow-up with her Oncologist for more info on the stage, etc. The oncologist is several miles way, and due to antagonizing pain my mother was in, suggested that she see a primary doc to get something for the pain, and then the next week when she visits the cancer center they would go from there, etc. Dr. Leathers REFUSED to give my mother pain medication, even though my mother could barely even move when she came into the office. How do you look a cancer patient in the eye, in mortifying pain, and send them away with nothing? My mother has NO history of drug abuse, NO history of any substance abuse for that matter. What reason do you stand behind to deny her? Even if the doctor did not feel comfortable giving a prescription (yet) until possibly doing blood work, that is fine, but she could have AT LEAST given her something in the office so my mother could at least get a night sleep. I am disgusted that someone as awful as this is even allowed to practice. Do you not stand by your oath to help people? We plan to take this complaint as far up as possible, because I cannot fathom how my mom was sent away in that manner. THANK YOU GOD for the ER who was able to help my mom, and attempt to relieve her pain. It is sad that you can't even get help from a primary doctor.
Dr. Leathers is the absolute worst. This doctor does not put her patients first. My mother, and cancer patient (recently diagnosed AGAIN), was sent away in antagonizing pain simply because Dr. Leathers does not like to prescribe medication. In some instance, that can be a good thing, but WHAT were your other options here? Send her away in tears? My mother has NO history of substance abuse. Thank GOD for the ER and Oncologist who were able to help relieve my mom's pain until treatment.
Arrogant. Rude. Zero 'bed-side manner'. Did NOT even examine me, except looked in my ears, nose and 'listened' to chest! I do NOT plan on going back to this one, and wouldn't recommend her to you either. WILL be telling EVERYONE I know, and that will listen, about the experience I had with this joke of a health 'care' provider! Complete waste of my time and my money, neitherof which she will NEVER receive again! Been to many physicians and she made it blatantly obvious to me that she is there for the pay check only. The health care field is changing folks, and if Care is what you are looking for, you'll not find it in this one, or least I most certainly didn't.
I have seen Dr Leathers for about 7 years. I am a hard patient to deal with. She spends a lot of time with me and discusses my issues as much as I need them discussed. She is aware of my insurance status and only orders tests that are necessary and prescribes me cheap medication. I really like her once I got used to her. Now we have a very good Dr/patient relationship.
Not sure about Dr. Leathers herself but the office staff is what I am rating at this moment. Dr. Leathers seems to be overly busy as with my experience it can take 3 weeks to get an initial new patient appointment with her. In dealing with her staff I never got to meet this doctor and am no longer with the Family And Internal Medcn Assocs. practice. I would not recommend this place if you would like to have good customer service in conjunction with good medical care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
