Very professional and addressed all my issues. Highly recommend her!
The wait time is awful as others posted, but my complaint is about Dr. Reas bedside manner. I have awful hemmroids and doctor Rae insisted it was a wart from hpv. She argued over ten minutes with me over this. I haven't been sexually active for 14 years and I get my pap smear every year. She treated me like I was dirty. Anyway, fast forward to two years after the pandemic .had my updated pap smear last week..all normal and negative for HPV. I will be talking with their office manager. Also, she and her assistant were in the hallway making snide remarks and giggling about me being overweight. Totally unprofessional. I'm a 58 year old grandmother and a kind person. I deserve respect from my medical care provider. I have anxiety disorder so her snide remarks and insisting she was right when wrong, really hurt me emotionally.
In early 2020, my friend was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and referred to Dr. Jennifer Rea. During the past year, my friend has had two surgeries performed by Dr. Rea, and has fully recovered. My friend decided to keep her diagnosis and treatment private, and only a few family members and myself know about her illness. Here is what she says about Dr. Rea: Dr. Rea saved my life. During my follow up appointments, I always remind Dr. Rea of this, and thank her for saving my life. And she always modestly replies, “It was a team effort.” That is true, however—it was Dr. Rea who performed the first surgery and removed the cancer, it was Dr. Rea who performed the ostomy that gave my body time to heal, and it was Dr. Rea who performed the second surgery, and reversed the ostomy. Dr. Rea utilizes the most modern surgical techniques. Dr. Rea removed the cancer and performed my ostomy using robotics/ minimally invasive surgical techniques. My incisions were small, about the size of a dime, and healed quickly, as opposed to a traditional surgery where there is a large incision which requires wound dressings and aftercare. A few hours after the surgery, I was walking around, and went home from the hospital a few days later. Prior to the surgery, Dr. Rea’s staff gave me an ostomy kit with lots of information and some sample ostomy pouches that attach with adhesive. I practiced attaching the ostomy pouch to my abdomen and put water in the pouch to get used to the feel of wearing the pouch. So, when I came out of surgery with the ostomy, I was prepared to handle it. Fortunately, I had a good response to chemo and radiation, and ten months later, Dr. Rea performed a second surgery to reverse the ostomy. Again, the incision was small, about the size of a quarter. I was up and about a few hours after the surgery, went home after a few days, and eight weeks later I was swimming, dancing, and doing stand-up paddle boarding. Dr. Rea loves what she does and it shows. Throughout my cancer journey, Dr. Rea was positive and enthusiastic about using her skill and training to help me get better, and at my lowest and most fearful moments, I appreciated her compassion, empathy, and patience. So. Much. Patience. Seriously. During my appointments leading up to surgery, I would bring notebooks filled with studies, articles, medical journals, and lists of questions (many of which I now realize were irrelevant to my condition) and Dr. Rea answered every question, no matter how irrelevant, and in so doing, she treated me with respect. Dr. Rea’s office staff was also respectful, professional, and so incredibly kind to me, especially during difficult parts of prepping for procedures. Dr. Rea always brings her A-game. I have been NED (no evidence of disease) since Dr. Rea performed my first surgery and removed the cancer. However, once you have cancer, there is always the possibility of it returning, so monitoring is crucial. A few months ago, during my routine colonoscopy, Dr. Rea found a small polyp. Fortunately, testing showed the polyp was not cancerous. The polyp was flat, blended in, and it was hard to see. I am so thankful that during procedures, Dr. Rea is focused, purposeful, and paying careful attention, and I know if there is a polyp or any other abnormality, Dr. Rea is going to do her best to find it so we can address it as early as possible. Dr. Rea saved my life, and I will always be grateful. And throughout my treatment, I felt seen, heard, and valued. Dr. Rea is not only a good doctor, she is a good person.
Dr. Rea has been the most caring and professional doctor I have ever had the pleasure to know. She is not only kind, but extremely talented in her field. Thank you so much Dr. Rea!!!
Had my colonoscopy today. Dr. Rea and her staff were very professional, knowledgeable and personable! Rhonda
I just had surgery today and I must say I had a really good experience with Dr.Rea and her staff. They went over everything with me 3 times and was super polite. Top notch care! I’m not sure where the bad reviews are coming from but I can insure you that you won’t be disappointed with Dr. Rea and her staff.
Dr. Rea is very kind and takes the time with her patients to listen and offer treatment plans. I appreciate her good bedside manner.
I’ll be honest… After reading reviews, I was skeptical about going to see Dr. Rea. One thing I wanted to say is that she listened to what I had to say. As an older woman. I know my body. I know what’s normal and what’s not. She pulled up her stool and we had an actual conversation about what was going on. I got in quickly to get the colonoscopy. Again, before the procedure, we talked. Her staff members were very personable and friendly. Waiting on pathology results now...we’ll see how things go with follow-up once the results come in Thank you.
This group is the worst I have been to, prescriptions take WEEKS???? this makes no sense at all. They do not care about your health your just a number they move through the system. You see the DR for 2 minutes before and after and never here from them again. i will not be back and would not recommend Dr. Rae was my Dr as well
Dr. Rea is fantastic! I could not ask for a better surgeon or person!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
