In May 2018, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. After extensive research, I chose to have my surgery at UK . I chose Dr. Johnathan Kiev to perform my surgery. His impressive background and my first meeting with Dr. Kiev assured me I made the right choice. I found him kind, caring, concerned about my well being, and willing to take time to thoroughly explain my options. Dr. Kiev performed my surgery and the outcome was excellent. Dr. Kiev saved my life. I highly recommend. W. Lile Frankfort

Dr. Kiev performed my lung VATs surgery in December 2017 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He did an awesome job on my surgery and I only had 1 incision, when I was expecting 3. He was kind enough to give me his cell phone number, which I did use for questions after being discharged from the hospital. I would highly recommend Dr. Kiev! :)

Dr. Kiev was personable, and thorough. He communicated with me and my family throughout the entire process of my daughter's surgery. His bedside manner was great as well as his sense of humor. I would recommend Dr Kiev. And though I never want to have him perform surgery on my daughter again, if surgery was necessary to save my dughterXScale life, I would definitely go to Dr. Kiev.

He performed lung Surgery on me in 2007 and removed 2/3 of my rt lung due to a growth the size of a grapefruit. I had pneumonia at the time but am cancer free at the time and do not even use oxygen. I will be forever grateful to him for saving my life.

Today I am five-years free of lung cancer, due to the expertise and skillful hands of Dr. Kiev and his excellent staff. At my first visit he was informative, but no nonsense, explaining to me and showing me exactly what needed to be done for us to have a good outcome. I was in total denial and the last thing I wanted was to have surgery...I was moving to Florida and didn't have time for this. Dr. Kiev told me like it was, whether I liked it or not, and after spending much time with me I agreed to the surgery. I am SO glad that I did. The outcome has been remarkable and I am so grateful to be alive. Jonathan Kiev is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him. Thanks, Dr. Kiev.

This man is a joke! Just wants to cut someone open, no matter what the problem is. Very unprofessional and rude. Vulgar language used in front of my 75 year old parents. Strongly recommend NOT seeing this doctor
