I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer in the Sigmoid section of my colon. I found out on Monday, and I met with Dr. Totten on Wednesday. He was professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable; however, he was young and a general surgeon (not a colorectal surgeon). I was apprehensive, and started to weigh my options. Given the circumstances (colon was 85% blocked), and the recommendations from other doctors & surgeons to use him- I decided to trust Dr. Totten. I'm beyond thankful that I did. He done an amazing job, and I would trust him with anything that he would feel comfortable doing. He is completely capable, and he was certainly called to be a surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Totten! He's great!!

My surgery went very well. Dr. Totten was very professional and kept me well informed on the whole process before,during, and after. I am 4 days post op and healing as I should. I would recommend Dr. Totten highly.
