Terrible experience, both in his office and in the hospital. Doesn't listen and only has minutes to 'spare'. Can't wait to get to his next paying patient or billing for payment. Isn't really interested in getting to the bottom of a cause for a problem that isn't one of the more common ones that all neurologists treat every day. Has a know-it-all attitude, but you discover the truth. Initially comes across as nice at consultation, but tells you not to use medical terminology, even though I've had to be under the care of a neurologist since 1985, so he obviously thinks no patient learns anything in 36 years. He's quick and assuming, within a few minutes, so don't waste your time if you have one of the more uncommon conditions. He's probably better with kids because they haven't had the opportunity to expand their knowledge and education to ask questions that might challenge him, or to really know what's unusual about their situation, if it is. Doesn't really care if it's rarer.
Very rude, very arrogant and really not helpful. I have had more seizures than usual and I have some kind of slow growing brain tumor, so I am scared about all those seizures and I asked for an MRI. I have asked that back in January. They said they will schedule one in Louisville, not Lexington even though it's where I always had my MRI, doesn't make sense to me and they are not willing to explain. Like I said, I have been waiting since January and left message couple times since then and I never heard anything back from them. Doctor is rude, staff is rude and overall careless. The only good person is his nurse! Very disappointing!
Dr. Fakhoury is Amazing. He Always puts our daughters needs first. He is concerned and when we go it’s all about her. I love him and I would recommend him to everyone.
My last visit with him left me feeling devastated. He was so rude and argumentive not to mention belittling. I felt humiliated.
Dr. Fakhoury is an excellent neurologist. My son has epilepsy. Dr. Fakhoury has been his doctor for many years. Dr. Fakhoury performed several EEG’s and found the perfect combination of medications to get my son’s seizures under control. My son has his life back thanks to Dr. Fakhoury.
At age of 57, I had my first ever seizure. Being totally scared and never accepting the unknown, Dr. Fakhoury has helped me not only understand he has held me understand and accept the lack of control of our entire lives. Dr. Fakhoury is direct, very factual doctor, which I totally love. He is one of the most compassionate Doctors, that as ever cared for me. I would/and do tell everyone I meet with the seizures what Very GREAT, WONDEDUL and COMPASSIONATE, doctor he is. I highly recommend Dr. Fakhoury.
Dr. Fakhoury took my sons concerns and found solutions. He was the only Dr I trusted
Great.
I would 100% recommend him to different people. His staff is nice and professional, and so is he. He does ask many questions but kinda what he has to do so I'm used to it. I wouldn't recommend someone who cannot understand foreign accents to see him, I've been with him for 5 years and sometimes still can't understand him
At my first appointment (referred from another dr), Dr. Foukary seemed genuinely interested in my case though a bit grandiose. He asked me to schedule a follow up-- At that follow up, he asked me why I had made an appointment to see him. Had no memory of asking me to schedule a follow up. Even after I reminded him of the specifics, he seemed doubtful of my honest/memory. He lost my mri disc, seemed annoyed when I asked for it (needed for another dr). He seems dismissive of drug side effects and perhaps not really knowledgeable of their frequency. Overall, a not very helpful clinical experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
