List of Carolyn Gleason Md's Reviews
Excellent and caring physician. Had seen a different rheumatologist for several months trying to get a diagnosis and was very unhappy with his exam and care. Dr Gleason’s assessment and repeated labs as well as reviewing the tests I had had led to a diagnosis and treatment within 2 weeks. She gave me my life back after 6 months of extraordinary pain and restricted use of my hands. Highly recommend!
Dr. Gleason is the best. She has been treating my RA for 30+ years. She takes the time necessary to listen to my cares and concerns and offers sound advice. I would highly recommend her for anyone coping with arthritis.
I have been going to Dr Gleason since she started her practice, except for a few months when I had to see another Dr. I had seen several before her and I would say she is absolutely the best! She is gentle, very well informed and up to date, and willing to work with her patients to help them feel better and get relief from RA.
If I could give a lower grade than a ‘one star’ I would. Let me explain. My wife has a severe condition with her right foot and ankle. Her Cardiologist recommended Dr. Gleason and sent a referral and she had an appointment to be seen this past November. Unfortunately a Family situation occurred and my wife had to cancel the appointment in advance. At that time she was NOT informed by the office personnel that cancelling this appointment would be cause for her file to be deleted / shredded and would NOT be allowed to be seen in this office by Dr. Gleason or Dr. June. When my wife called back in December to make an appointment that’s when she was informed that she was not allowed to be seen. It would have been nice to be told this initially instead of after the fact. How Unprofessional. A note to Dr. Gleason and Dr. June. The people that come to see or TRY to see you are not perfect people and Life happens.
I was referred to dr Gleason after a positive ANA test by my PCP. She was very condescending from the moment I met her and she minimized my symptoms and concerns. She then ordered a lot of very expensive blood tests. I went back for my follow up visit for my results and she had left the practice without notifying me or cancelling my appointment. Needless to say, I never got the results of my tests and had no doctor to turn to get help for my symptoms. My PCP attempted to get my records and her office told her that I was not a client. Not what I call good patient care.
Dr. Gleason is ok. She is nice enough and takes time to sit with you, but her staff acts like bouncers and decides who gets in and who is left out in the cold, even when you call with questions and concerns. Dr. Gleason also makes patients pay $45 a month to be her patient- in addition to co-pays, fees, and charges. The $45 is every single month whether you see her or not.
Dr. Gleason makes patients pay a $45 monthly fee to be part of the practice- in addition to charging co-pays and fees for visits. The $45 a month is just to be able to walk in the door. She also never knew the latest research surrounding medication, trials or treatments. I frequently asked about things I had read about and she would roll her eyes and dismiss or say she had never heard of. Shes a nice person, but just a so-so doctor
Dr. Gleason has a co-op. Pts pay $45+/month now. I now have to find a new dr.
Dr. Gleason was extremely thorough and patient in addressing my complex medical symtomology. She was very pleasant and was in no way condescending or dismissive. Unfortunately, finding an extremely knowledgeable provider with an excellent bedside manner is a rarity . Dr. Gleason is definitely the exception. I would highly recommend her!
Prompt, courteous, professional, thorough service says it all.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
