Dr. Frederick R. Witten's Online Review Report Card

Had the misfortune of sitting in his office with my son at a recent appointment. By far, the rudest most unprofessional doctor I have EVER encountered!! I was so caught off guard that I didn't even know how to respond to him. Apparently he missed the 'do no harm' lecture.

Been a family member's physician for close to a year. I find he is cold and uncaring. Does not listen, forms his own judgment, and does not monitor UTI's. After treating a UTI for months with antibiotics, family member ended up in hospital only to discover they had a superbug which required a very specific antibiotic. He never tests urine during visits despite patient having a chronic problem with UTI's. Requesting a different physician.

He never followed up with me about serious condition

Dr. Witten left me in a small, cramped cold room to have a procedure for over 2 hours. His nurses never came in and updated me on when he would even arrive. I was at my appointment on time. I became upset and claustrophobic. I think the doctor was disrespectful to my time and never apologized for being late. Instead he wrote in my report that I was difficult with him and his staff. He told me his time was more valuable than mine. He acted unprofessionally and highly inappropriate. His hurtful comments which are a permanent record contained words that had nothing to do with my health condition. In addition, he omitted polyps in my bladder which he told me during his examination (cystoscopy.)

Dr. Witten was extremely compassionate and thoughtful in his care of my Father. My Dad died at the age of 90 in 2012, after years of dealing with CHF and CHF. But bladder cancer ultimately got in the way of his goal of living to 100. However, Dr. witten & his staff gave him a good quality of life during what might have been a crummy last year. Bless you, Dr. Witten.

Good doctor but there scheduling is terrible.. For three weeks in a row I had an appointment one time he’s in the hospital which I understand the next time I was told to be back in one month came in they said my appointment wasn’t that day but did work me in with a different doctor. Today I come in they said they called to cancel my appointment and no one ever called my house

Treating an aggressive prostate cancer. Is very thorough in his exams to make certain he misses nothing.

I was awed by the personal care and commitment I received from Dr. Witten. He moved heaven and earth to battle with the insurance companies to make sure I could get the care he wanted to offer me. Today's laws and insurance companies make it very difficult on doctors to perform their 'art'. But Dr. Witten went out of his way on my behalf. He may move fast, but he sure knows what he is doing and his skills prove it. Thank you, Dr. Witten. You are my hero!
