He listens to my concerns. He will discuss alternate therapies and review all options.
Dr Malone is a very good Dr. He has made a major improvement in my life. I can't thank him enough. Happy to have him for my doctor. My concerns are his concerns. He doesn't get enough Thank you's for all he has and can do.. Thank You DR MALONE .
My husband had an appointment with one of the other urologist at the DuPont Office and after that appointment we were both very unpleased with how he was treated and our options for a much needed procedure. We sought out different urologist with the help of my husbands nephrologist. He was referred to Dr. R. Malone, OMG - he was a true blessing! He listened to us and worked with getting his testing and procedure where our insurance paid the most. Great Physician- his actions and his office truly care about their patients.
I have been seeing Dr. Malone for a number of years, he is great. A Doctor who will listen.
Compassionate, skilled and helped me through urological problems
He rushed my surgery. Leaving 2.5 liters of blood in my abdomen. Two days after discharged from the hospital I had to return to the ER. The excess blood was causing pressure in my system and ruptured the stiches. The hospitals surgeon took over my case. Malone wanted to discharge me from the hospital as if nothing was wrong. I was tothat if I was ddischarged I may have turned septic and died over the weekend. I had a second exploratory surgery and remained in the hospital another 5 days afterward. The second surgery cost me an extra 10 weeks off work but most likely saved my life. I do not recommend Malone as your surgeon. He will not tell you the whole truth, rushes surgery, attempts to cover up mistakes and his assistant is an a$$ to the patients and nurses.
I have great confidence in Dr. Malone. He has performed successful surgery on me. Dr. Malone always seems interested in my well being and very easy to talk to. Great Doctor, great guy, and I always recomend him to new patients. Charlie Nachand
Last year My husband's PSA numbers kept climbing so we were referred to Dr. Malone. He recommended my husband get a biopsy. I went to the biopsy with him and the follow-up appointment. We had to wait for over an hour when we went to the follow-up. I thought the doctor acted like he didn't like me being there. We were told that my husband had prostate cancer. The doctor started to tell us the options but when my husband said he wanted the surgery. Dr. Malone didn't spend much time talking to us. He recommended a CT scan to see if it had spread. My husband had the CT scan and Dr. Malone told us it hadn't spread. When we went to see Dr. Becker who was going to do the surgery he told us that my husband had a spot on his kidney and that they wanted to do another CT scan. We were shocked because Dr. Malone never told us about the spot. I ordered a copy of the medical records and the CT scan results said that there was a spot on the kidneys and to follow-up with a 3D CT scan or an MRI. We didn't trust Dr. Malone after that and decided that we were only gong to work with Dr. Becker. I think Dr. Becker is a great doctor. He didn't even mind that I came to every appointment. I went to the appointments with my husband for support and so I would know what was going on. My husband still remains cancer free to this day.

Dr.malone is awesome. I have a bladder disease I.C. I had previously saw a different urologist for six or seven months. I had a horrible experience with him. He did nothing for me. During this time frame I had a hydro distention done. My urologist at the time sent dr. Malone to do it. It's scary to have a dr show up to do your surgery that you don't know. He made me feel at ease so I agreed to the surgery. I continued my follow up care with my first urologist. He was just awful so I switched to dr. Malone. From the first appointment he was awesome. He was honest and spent time with me. I love him!!
Had a good relationship with this doctor for several years then one day after one elevated PSA test his staff called me into the office to meet with Dr Malone. Not only did he not meet with me personally but he sent in a Nurse Practitioner who did not know my case or why I was there except that Dr Malone wanted me to have a biopsy. When I stated that I did not want to rush into that he scorned me in the hallway and said that I could wait no longer than a month or two to repeat the procedure and wanted to know why a opposed this procedure. He did nothing to support my decision or look for alternatives. It was humiliating for me. I found a new Urologist who did more thorough testing and discovered that I did NOT need a biopsy and my Free PSA was actually within normal limits. I feel Dr Malone was more interested in pushing the biopsy than figuring out my concerns. A terrible situation for someone afraid of unnecessary surgeries. I also had no support from his staff who were downright rude on several occasions as if I was wasting their time. I will never go back to First Urology again!
