We love Dr. Abbott she has been our doctor for 15 years an we have always been so happy to have such a caring personable professional doctor. She knows our children as people not just patients. You are never rushed through an appointment and she takes the time to personally check on them if they are sick or injured with a followup call or email. We feel so lucky to have her as our pediatrician.

Dr. Abbott is the best kept secret in peds in the Louisville area. Shes like a Dr. House but with a great personality. My son was desperately ill with a very rare combination of 3 vestibular disorders that took him completely out of commission missing half year of high school. We went through 23 doctors and 6 months before he finally ended up in surgery and is now a case study for the doctors who diagnosed and treated him. During this time we switched from his previous pediatrician that we had taken our kids to for 20 years to Dr Abbott when they simply didnt take his illness seriously were too busy to help and displayed no interest in his case. She came highly recommended by a friend who had a child with very serious health issues.The majority of doctors we saw told us that he was just depressed and to go back to school and see a counselor. Dr. Abbott was one of the few with no arrogance that got to know him and knew despite his condition not presenting with classic symptoms that he was not depressed and that whatever it was was real and rare. Despite only collecting office visits for income she spent an enormous about of personal time after hours researching possibilities and steering us in the right direction with specialists.She genuinely cares never makes you feel rushed tells you what she is thinking and builds a great rapport with her patients and their parents never giving up on trying to help even with the most difficult cases to diagnose. I cannot say enough good things about her or recommend her highly enough. My son and I literally LOVE her Thank you Dr. Abbott

Katherine Abbott is seriously the best pediatrician I have ever come across. I had to relook up the phone number because it had been deleted after my last reset. Anyway when I looked up the phone number I saw that someone had given her a 1 Star rating with no explanation...? I cannot imagine a single instance where a 5 star isnt warranted so I am not sure why she was given a 1 star. So I feel compelled to let anyone who reads these reviews about my experience with her.Dr. Abbott always takes her time with my son I have never ever had to wait an unreasonable amount of time in the waiting room or office. My son is NOT afraid of the doctor ...or dentist and looks forward to visits and I really feel like it is because of the interactions he has had with Dr. Abbott. My son was born at 30 weeks and had medical issues. I did have to go from doctor to doctor to find the right one because previous doctors didnt seem to listen they were quick to give xrays and he already had enough of them quick to dismiss or misdiagnose or overdiagnose BUT Dr. Abbott would ask questions listen to my answers with the intent to listen not just document observe my son and his symptoms test when necessary answer every questionconcern not only in detail in my terms but made sure I understood and also felt at ease prescribe accurately.She compliments him on his progress and goes with the flow as in my son reaaally loves to be told he is growing and I made a subtle comment about his growth and she caught on and made him feel awesome. She interacts with him and sometimes doesnt even have to ask questions about his development because she finds the answer through her interactions she makes him feel comfortable with checking him and explains on his terms what she is doing and why. She gives extras that make him excited. She lets kids explore her tools and make them apart of the process she explains what they do and makes it fun for him. She understands that toddlers are toddlers and kids are kids They are going to be hesitant they are going to want to know what things are before invading their space and she respects that and it feels like she likes for kids to respect her Anyway each time my son goes she makes the experience for him amazing it doesnt seem like this is what she does every day. She is so passionate about who she is as a doctor and the level of quality she provides patient and parent. I love thatThere was a possible issue with my insurance company not covering her she investigated the issue and turns out the insurance company was wrong and we can still go to her. I use the MyChart App and ask my questions I always get a thoughtful and wellinformed replyShe is absolutely fabulous I truly feel lucky we have her as his doctor

I started going to Dr. Abbott when my oldest was 6 months old and another Dr. wanted to do an upper GI on her. Dr. Abbott was my second opinion and I have not gone anywhere since She has been an amazing Dr. to both my girls. She always takes the time to get down to their level. She doesnt make the Dr experience scary. I trust her judgement and would recommend her to anyone with children Just to put in to context...I drive over 45 minutes just to have my children stay at her practice

I cant say enough GREAT things about DR. KATHERINE ABBOTT. If you want a pediatrician that spends time to get to know your child truly listens is highly intelligent has a great bedside manner doesnt stop working on your childs case when your appointment is over stays up at night researching complicated cases evaluates every possibility stays in direct and detailed contact with you between appointments tells you straight up what she thinks thoroughly analyzes reports proactively follows up with other doctors and WILL NOT GIVE UP until your child is diagnosed and well...go to her
