They either ignorantly muddle Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare (dis)Advantage plans into one entity when the truth is a provider can accept Medicare but not enroll to accept any Medicaid. To not accept Medicare they must inform their MAC… The Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for Kentucky is CGS Administrators, LLC (CGS). Physicians and practitioners in Kentucky must submit a signed affidavit to CGS to officially opt out of the Medicare program. Failure to do so results in all providers being denied reimbursement from Medicare for up to 2 years and will prevent them from being able to accept Medicare at hospitals or other practices. Skirting the law is not allowed. You either opt in or out (again this has nothing whatsoever to do with Medicaid programs…although they are fast talkers in trying to muddle the two together. I’m eagerly awaiting an emailed copy of their opt out affidavit. (1-23-26). UPDATE: I have been told there is no official opt out of Medicare because the Doctor I was told and agreed would be a good match likes to Moonlight at places that does accept Medicare. I hope this Doctor just doesn’t understand he, not the practice is what Medicare bills and by not accepting what they call Kentucky Medicare is opting out when they told me they would accept my Medicare because I live in Indiana (thus they called it Indiana Medicare). They are located in Louisville, Kentucky so what they are doing is limiting their Medicare patients by claiming Kentucky combined Medicare and Medicaid into one plan. I keep thinking it just doesn’t make sense until I think of the hundreds of dollars they would not be able to collect if they hadn’t partially opted out of taking Medicare. It’s a sad situation and I spent the weekend during a snowstorm to explain to the company contracted with CMS known as their Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) of the situation. If found to be wrong in their analysis I say it’s sad because it could result in everyone at the practice and other moonlighting’ places to be denied Medicare reimbursement for up to 2 years.

I see Dr.Briscoe and have for quite a while now and it’s been the BEST experience I’ve ever had. He’s kind, compassionate and not to leave out, funny. He’s always focused on what’s best for me and he’s right EVERY time. I always have a positive experience with him 😊

I have been a patient since 2017. I am always comfortable and treated with respect. To have a doctor that works with me to help me get the care that works and can afford really means a lot.

I've been in Dr. Brian Briscoes care since 2012. As his patient, I haven't witnessed any changes to his care for me. That was my fear since like many others, I had the displeasure of experiencing a providers care waning after 2 or 3 months. Being heard and seen is important. I was referred by another provider who became a great friend. I haven't met another like Judith Peoples or Dr. Briscoe, she was and he IS a gem.

Dr. Briscoe is very knowledgeable and truly an ADHD expert. She is kind and easy to work with. Unfortunately, we have had multiple issues with us showing for an appointment (including pulling our son out of school and us taking off work) and them canceling on us 5 minutes before the appointment. Other times we've had to wait 30-45 minutes to be seen, even though we were the first appointment of the day. When it comes to medication refills, they are very hard to get ahold of and frequently call in the wrong medication. Our son has had to go without his ADHD meds several times due to this.

You all are amazing and we appreciate how sensitive and supportive you all are. You all make being different (almost) good thing. I wish EVERYONE could work with you all. But there is only 8 hours a day ,so thank you for working with x and our family. You make this a better world.

Doctor Brian Briscoe has been such a blessing to our family.. He has been so patient, kind, and gentle. He listens intently and is an excellent practitioner at his job. We honestly do not know where we would be without his help. Thank you doctor Briscoe from the bottom of our hearts.

Appointment made, invoice paid, and consent form sent. I was excited to meet my son’s doctor but very disappointed the Dr. did not show up for our scheduled meeting. We logged in 5 minutes early, waited 15 minutes but he never came online. I called the number about the no show and left a message but they were closed.
