List of Norton Hospital Adult Psychiatric Unit's Reviews
Every staff member I came in contact with, from the security when you first walk in to the discharge nurse were very welcoming and friendly.
I had 6 surgeries there. always satisfied until this last one. The nurses were rude and the aids down right mean. I spent 3 days afraid to push my call button because of the treatment I received when I did. There were other things that happened.
Why is this place still open? WHY?! With everything they have done to patients (Including me) and still are, Why is it still open or why have these people not been held accountable for their actions? A hospital is where your suppose to TRUST people to help get better, NOT be abused and called names and sexual assaulted with that sedation medicine they been using on female patients! They know exactly who they are! smh. sad. Karma is someone you don't want to meet. One day you'll be in that hospital bed and hopefully you get what you did to those patients Including me! That's all I'm going to say on that. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Anyone experience, anything to do with, a kind of treatment going on, on the ward you were on, that involved treating strange sexual problems? To the point where they were more worried about these people than your care, and also violated your HIPPA, your dignity, laughed at you and you heard other things you should never have had to hear while trying to heal in the hospital? I was on ward 5K, and demanded to be moved when I got back from my second procedure, and half of them were gone, and in a couple of days all of them were gone. I had one of their patients, somehow, develop an almost stalker crush on me. Helping him, get a glimpse of me, and live out some sick fantasy became more important to them than my rights or my care! If anyone else has experienced this, it would validate me, even with my family. Those "nurses" (I wonder if some of them were even trained), were so good at lying, they have my family believing it's not true.
disgusting people. dumping elderly patients on the curb like trash. these people should be JAILED
I’d give negative stars if I could!! My advice- if you have to stay at Norton Downtown on Chestnut Street, don’t stay there without a witness or at least a way to record everything!!! I had the unfortunate experiences of having to stay overnight for cervical spine fusion. The night nursing staff were all very nice, but somehow either they never put in the order for 2 medications I was supposed to have (one of my prescription meds for GERD, and a sore throat spray to help with swallowing after the surgery), despite me asking multiple times, or the pharmacy really messed up. Then the day nurses came in I had to repeatedly ask for pain meds because twice they let my pain get above a 9 by waiting beyond the recommended dose time. Then they not only denied them, they labeled me a drug addict because I was asking. They then discharged me without even disconnecting the oxygen, leg cuffs, or Airwick Catheter (my daughter had to do that for me). Later I found out 2 nurses literally lied on, and falsified my records about the issue with pain meds and about my being able to walk (despite the fact I couldn’t move my legs on my own and without extreme pain). When I had to return to the ER the next day because I still couldn’t move my legs on my own and was in extreme pain, one of the nurses called the ER and told them I was a drug addict and to deny me any pain meds, which the doctor was more than happy to tell me that he’d “been warned about me by my doctor” (funny, because when I followed up with my doctor, he had no idea id even been to the ER till he saw the records right before he came into the exam room). Then, despite the fact it took 2 people to pick me up and put me on the toilet several times, and I had to be lifted to the wheelchair and to the car, the ER doc lied on my records that I was “able to stand with full strength, ambulatory, and gait was steady”. I’ve tried calling the patient advocate several times but all I get is voicemail and they never call back. I tried to file an online complaint. Someone then called me back and took most of my report but then rushed me off the phone to call someone else, before I could finish. I tried contacting them again via the online form to finish my report, but haven’t had any follow-up since. I’ve tried to contact the head of the hospital, but no one seems to know how I can do that.
I came into the ER last Saturday in extreme pain as I was having an allergic reaction to the meds I was given in Wisconsin before I had left for a trip. Not being from the area i didn’t know what to expect I was just driving through and it was off I65. The ER staff was amazing! Yes the wait was long and I was miserable but the staff at Norton got me right. I can’t say enough how great they were definitely over worked but when I needed anything they were there! Thank you Norton!
They dump patients right outside no matter the weather and lie about what happened to them.
Dont recommend. This (hospital staff) are constantly under direct violation of EMTALA( anti dumping law) As a healthcare provider you are directed to follow the Hippocratic oath. In the oath, the physician pledges to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing harm or hurt; and to live an exemplary personal and professional life. Dumping patients on the side of the road because you can't deal is inhumane and not living an exemplary life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
