It's a great hospital with great group of of doctors
They are good to my mom
They are really slow and don't care to do anything for people
Lab wait is ridiculous; waiting 40 minutes with no lab work done.
My wife had an inoperable stroke. The emergency room people were fast to diagnose and relate alternatives. The kind nurses on 3e settled her comfortably in her room. They brought in snacks and drinks for family. When she passed, they left us alone as long as we wished. Their kindness during this time was comforting. I can't thank them enough.
I'm not giving in to the fear they tried pushing on me ! I found out that there ARE THINGS I CAN BE DOING to fight cancer on a daily basis ... From what I've been told, with the things I'm doing, we've applied a bandaid, and I AM TREATABLE ! CHEMOTHERAPY is NOT the only way ! Nice people that follow the directions of the FDA. But, cancer is a personal fight too !
From the minute we walked in the door of one day surgery to the next day when we left, EVERYONE, was professional, kind and went to great lengths to be sure every need was met. Deaconess is the best for all of us in Western KY. We are lucky to have this hospital.

Had to have blood test yesterday. when I arrived 7 people ahead of me. I waited 57 minutes before they called me back to have blood drawn. Eveyone in waiting room complaining about long wait. several people left because of wait. Employees also complaing about changes made. When I left all the chairs in waiting room was full and several people standing along wall. This shows that management has absolutely no respect for patients. Service every where has gone down since Baptist took over. This was at the Trover clinic building.
I feel like a woosie but my last visit to the ER in June 2023 left a lasting impression. And what scares me is they're supposed to be "the best" in the area. Better than Hopkinsville and Princeton. I had severe stomach pain that was localized on my right side and spread to my belly button. While I had been to an urgent care a few days prior for kidney stones, that pain was in MY BACK, this pain was very much in my stomach. I waited 12 hours to go, to the point I was nauseous and squirming in pain. I was loaded with OTC pain killers that did nothing!! Upon entering, the nurse taking me in practically rolled their eyes that I was there for "kidney stones". I tried to explain NO this was VERY different. Waited almost 2 hours to go back. K fine I know I'm not priority. Finally get back, nurses were cool, but I received nothing for the pain or was even offered. Doctor showed up 2-3 hours later and immediately pushed on my stomach and said it was probably pregnancy. I explained no, I had taken multiple tests that were negative, I had just gotten off my full 7 day period 3 days ago, and my ONLY partner had a vasectomy. Even though I was NOT bleeding anymore, he said the blood in my pee was menstrual BUT pregnancy "still happens". He asked me to go pee again, said it was to "check for more blood", but their system alerted my phone that my pregnancy test had been negative. Really hoping we're going to be on a "I didnt know I was pregnant" show? Okay. CT scan was clear too, but then he wanted a pelvic exam. The nurses complained to me of the fit he was throwing to make sure everything was just-so. Doubled over in pain I had to stand with a blanket for pants, for my whole bed to be swapped so I had stirrups, multiple people came in and out because he wanted specific tables and gear no one could find in one trip. Suddenly I'm given morphine through my IV, and THATS when he walks in to give the exam. I was loopy, dizzy, and very light headed, even the doctor admitted I mightve needed intervention for how I reacted to the morphine. Nurses had to drag my butt to the end of the bed for him and my husband was tapping my face to keep me coherent enough to at least know what was going on. I didn't even know WHY he was doing the exam, like what was he looking for?? Oh. STD panel. Because God forbid we inform me incase I refuse. So after a later pelvic ultrasound came back clear, we waited another hour for a new doctor to just walk in and send me home. When I followed up with my PCP a few days later she found there was STILL blood in my pee, NO kidney stones on ANY scans, my pancreas reading really worried her, AND I had a small blockage in my intestines. All seen on their scans and blood tests. My PCP sent for me to be seen by specialists ASAP. Dude was SO focused to catch me with a pregnancy he ignored his own tests. And now I'm supposed to trust an actual OBGYN for an ACTUAL OBGYN issue when my last care was so uncomfortable and just plain wrong?? It honestly makes my skin crawl. ONLY reason I give 3 stars is first ER visit was fine, hospital stay was fine (minus the horrible food), cardiologist and testing facility have been fine! But that last ER trip killed going there for me unless my cardiologist sends me somewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
