very lucky to have such a good MD
Terrifically understanding and compassionate
excellent care
I went to the emergency room at CAMC due to blinding pain in the back of my head, severe nausea and vomiting, and other symptoms. I was seen by Dr. Njere and was treated terribly. He is very rude and spent absolutely no time listening to me. He dismissed me as a non-emergency from the start. I had been to 3 other hospitals before coming to CAMC General because of the intense pain and uncontrollable vomiting. After telling me that I was exaggerating my symptoms, he explained that, being from New York, he just tells it like it is, thus attempting to explain away his rude and uncaring demeanor. He took great pride in talking to me like I am an idiot. He claimed that he reviewed my MRI from a different hospital and that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my brain. I have to question whether he actually reviewed it at all. He told me there was nothing he could do for me and that he didn't feel as though I was in need of emergency medical care. He discharged me without giving me a diagnosis and claimed that I was asymptomatic at the time of discharge. The very next day, I found myself back in the ER at yet another hospital, where the attending physician reviewed my MRI and found a 3cm lesion on my brain. Fearing I had an aneurysm, I was AIRLIFTED to yet another hospital. I have a cerebral venous thrombosis in the back of my brain near my brain stem. If I had listened to Dr. Njere, I would probably be dead by now. I feel this is unacceptable and I strongly feel that I was discriminated against not only because I'm a female, but because of my race. I am appalled that he sent me home with a life-threatening abnormality in my brain. I would not allow this doctor to treat my pet rock. He is rude, incompetent, and I also feel he is racist. THIS DOCTOR LET ME LEAVE THE HOSPITAL WITH A LARGE BLOOD CLOT IN MY BRAIN!! He should be reprimanded and I intend to take this as far as possible to keep this man from doing this to anyone else!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
