List of Harold Cannon's Reviews
Praise God I am finally going to get some relief!!!! Dr. Cannon and his staff were very professional and pleasant. He also took the time to show me exactly why I am in so much pain. Thank you all! Here it is 30 days later I had no idea what I was facing with nicotine withdrawl!! Dear God!!! I have puked, trembled, sweat, and cried numerous times!! FYI to anyone that needs to know 2 stores in owensboro..shell on Breckenridge and smokers heaven on Frederica sell zero nicotine vapes. Prayers to anyone that attempts to quit after 45 YEARS!!
I WANTED TO GIVE 0 STARS! I'm currently being "treated" by Dr. Cannon for an injury sustained while at work. Approximately 75-100 lbs dropped on top of my (hard hatted) head, which has since caused an array of discomfort, pain, numbness and spasms which consistently radiates down my right arm (sporadically down left), in and around right shoulder, and has progressed down right back (kidney area). The first visit to Dr. Cannon was from my Orthopedic's referral to the Neurological Consultants Office. (I initially wanted to see Dr. Eggars; however, expedience due to injury resulted in Cannon being 1st with opening) I was ushered to a room, Dr. Cannon entered and advised that his assistant was off and he would be performing the initial info-collecting duties generally assigned to the assistant. From the onset of the interaction, Dr. Cannon displayed indifference towards my circumstances. At one point informing me that my cervical spine injury was simply congenital in nature, not severe and not from a work related accident. The irony of this erroneous medical opinion was that: immediately after speaking this rhetoric, Dr. Cannon stopped his tape recording and inquired about the MRI cd that I'd provided to his office. I informed him that I'd brought a copy of the imaging for his review. At which time he stated that he'd go "take a look" at the MRI, promptly stood and left the room. Ten minutes later Dr. Cannon reappeared, not once mentioning any opinion or conclusion taken from the imaging, and simply advised me that he wanted me to undergo 4-6 weeks Physical Therapy. And THAT, by and large, will remain the most unethical, unprofessional and questionable doctor visits I've ever experienced. During this first encounter Dr Cannon failed to provide me opportunity to discuss anything. When attempting to inform him about previous treatments, x-rays, particular symptoms and the fact that Physical Therapy had been attempted, he literally shushed me like a child and stated, "I only need 'yes' or 'no' responses". Most importantly, which is notable when attempting to decipher Dr. Cannon's actions of disregard, is that multiple times he brought up matters relative to Workman's Comp matters, including reiterating his previous opinion that my injury wasn't connected to the accident. Why was this physician overly concerned with my workman's comp claim, which is a legal issue; his realm of expertise is supposed to be medical in nature. This past month, I met with Dr. Cannon a second time. As soon as I finished checking in I was surprisingly greeted by a Nurse-representative from Tennessee, who works for the insurance company handling my workman's comp claim. He accompanied me to my room and, once Dr. Cannon arrived, a repeat of the previous unprofessionalism and blatant indifference took place. The man was rude and disrespectful! When I made attempts to discuss my medical circumstances or inquire about his ordering of invasive surgical treatment, he didn't want to hear (only talk) and my questions were seemingly like a waste of his time. Since my injury on June 15th 2022, the only conservative measures that have been attempted are that of physical therapy. When I asked Dr Cannon about alternative conservative measures, of which are significantly less complex and invasive, he simply stated he did not "believe in injection therapy" and provided no other information relative to alternate treatment options. While awaiting a response from the insurance company concerning surgery authorization, and after significant research associated with the varying circumstances and parties connected to my medical treatment and workman's comp claim, I've concluded that the seriousness involved warrants a more non-biased, medically substantiated opinion. Particularly, one which maintains the physician-patient fiduciary relationship, which is based upon the patient's confidence and trust of the treating physician! I relinquish it such assurances in Dr. Cannon as treating physician and intend to seek other options!
C/t scan showed bulging disk, herniated disk, flattened and displaced nerves and moderate stenosis. Mri confirmed! Cannon said there was nothing wrong "we don't give medicine here and we don't give time off work" and shoved me out the door! Acted like all I wanted was pain pills!
Had surgery done in September, 2020. My primary physician missed my deteriorating disks which ended up pinching my spinal cord. Dr. Cannon saw it right off the bat. He stayed at his office until 10PM getting certification from the insurance company. Had my C2 thru C6 diskectomy done in 2days from my first appointment with him. Very caring and will go the extra mile to help you. Thanks Dr. Cannon!!
Had surgery on December 22nd 2020. Did the weight restrictions like I was told. 8 lbs. 15 lbs then the following visit. Was released without restrictions. After 2 days working. My lower back was killing me and pain and numbness in legs. Contacted his office about it to be told that's normal. If have any problems contact family Dr. My family dr heard the message left and there words was what the hell is he thinking. Now almost 6 months after surgery I am still in pain. I won't go to him again
Awesome Dr.!!!
I saw Dr. Cannon back in November of 2020. He did a fusion of the C4 and C5. He was very kind, took time with me, and the fusion was a success and took away the terrible pain that went across my upper back and neck. All of the people that I came in contact with at his office, and at Deaconess Gateway Hospital were awesome! I would definitely recommend Dr. Cannon to anyone!
All I can say is I have been to many doctors in my life & he has been the worst I have ever been to. No compassion, don't listen 2 ur concerns, no knowledge & the most rude. He does not need 2 b in practice! I have had 3 people that works in the medical field, they say he is BI-Polar & I would say I totally agree.
They gave me back my life. I have my life back before I hurt my back. He saved my life and was very kind and knowledgeable. Thank you Dr. CANNON.
My husband walked in the hospital for surgery and an overnight stay. He never walked again. This man never needs to touch another human. He thinks he is a god. Office staff can be very rude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
